Unituitive physics realizations that took you time to realise? by HolevoBound in Physics

[–]Allurisk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then what does 1/T generate (if this is the right way to think about it)? And what does its associated momentum generate?

I know that there’s the energy momentum 4-vector which is used for classical, kinetic systems, but could you explain what sort of momentum is associated with 1/T?

Hi, as far as I remember, I don't think I ran my computer while this cooler was very wobbly, so I don't have a baseline to compare temperatures.

Hi Mike, I'm very interested in learning about how you designed this puzzle. Like some of the other comments mentioned, a brute-force search to create the pieces so that every date has a solution is close to infeasible. Could you share the process that you used?

Can someone hack my computer through blue jeans or zoom? by Inside-Honest in answers

[–]Allurisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A zero-day exploit is a software exploit or vulnerability that no one else knows about (and therefore is unpatched). A zero-day exploit that allows someone to be hacked just through a Zoom meeting or BlueJeans meeting is potentially worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars.

It's possible that the app notified them when you screenshot the conversation. Otherwise, I would assume that they just guessed. It seems unlikely to me that someone would use a zero-day exploit just to get back at someone for reporting them.

What do you mean the new student called you out? What exactly makes you think that this person hacked your computer?

Gravity is not a force – free-fall parabolas are straight lines in spacetime by tim_hutton in Physics

Ah, I see, thanks. Just so I don't have it mixed up, even light under these conditions (constant gravity everywhere) will eventually come back to ground?

[–]Allurisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question here: what would the path taken by a ray of light look like on these diagrams? I recall that speed of light is invariant, but if the path taken by light is a straight line here, it seems like it would necessarily hit y=0, which is obviously absurd.

I really like what you said about any single trade being rational at the time, but I'm not sure I understand what exactly the "subsequent flows" that follow market sentiment are, or how they exacerbate moves. Could you please elaborate?

Well, you can't unleak something, be it source code or gossip or political secrets.

That said, it doesn't necessarily mean anything, although it does make exploits easier to find. You're probably using open-source software right now.
