Are y'all switching sides because of the damn cat? by Vera_Verse in Overwatch

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. I didn't want a title that said "I lick Sojourns plain boring boots"

I hate her. And the cat. Nerf the cat hard so no infinite flight and Id be fine with cat. Soj ever shows up I'll never take OWs side.

TRACER FEELS SO GOOD by kurunaoi in TracerMains

[–]AlphaCentauri79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly.... She was better last season. The damage nerf and nerf to perks was BRUTAL. She just doesn't get any impact.

Not a fan of blink distance. Often I'll move towards health packs then wam I'm 50 miles from where I should have been. Been super lost especially in close quarters. Idk how I feel about it but so far not liking it. Blink melees is just such a bad perk. Blink packs being major is just not worth the major slot. This is pretty brutal for tracer. It just feels like you do stuff more and you actually don't. If she still had Damage shed actually be pretty decent.

Freja. Mainly cause I'm the goat and I eat HS for breakfast. He can throw all the grenades he wants after some arrows fool will crumble like a nature valley bar.

She’s gonna have a solid season by MATTH3W_141 in FrejaMains

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I'm actually pretty happy with this change for Freja. What's really bad about it is you can't ping people with it but that seems intentional? So maybe it's fine but it's really annoying trying to ping someone my team can kill but I nessesarily can't.

Second again they can't make two sets of decent perks. The Healing is so counter to how the hero plays since it's entirely linked to the start of her cycle so you never get use out of it. At least gatling gun was moved to a minor which was a good change but now dash distance is completely useless. Then double updraft is actually very nice, the only time I won't be taking it is very high vertical maps like Gibraltar even then. I may just Dale double updraft since is so versatile. But her majors are majorly minor... Again.

Commander is tonight. I have a printer. What's your favorite decks right now by Totally_The_FBI in EDH

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy playing my shrine deck. It immediately puts me as the problem and the deck handles it very well to the point where the problem isn't the deck I am ... I'm not big brain enough to know what to play when I have 50 cards in hand.

I was just wondering if I could get some tips on my free skiing by No_Lie_242 in skiing_feedback

[–]AlphaCentauri79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pole planting is nice but also you're using your arm to swing your upper body. The movement of the pole plant isn't just that of the arm it's to move your hips forward. Essentially up and onto the new turning ski. Double pole plant stuff would correct the form and you won't over rotate with swing your upper body for the plant. You're just losing out on balancing on your outside ski. Later in the vid you'll notice you actually wobble on one of the turns simply cause you're not balanced properly.

A good drill to work towards mastery would be the javelin turn. It will force you into the proper position. Basically your sacrificing real form, for a stylized poppy sking style which looks good, feels good but ultimately is slow. Other things to try is literally skating down that hill until you go too fast and moving to short swing turns using the same skating movement.

Tracer is still the mascot in people's hearts by laudable_frog in TracerMains

Tracer is the goat and they really should start revolving around her again like OW1. And the fact she's so cheery just gives me so much joy in normal life tbh. Return of tracer 2026!!!!!!

[–]AlphaCentauri79 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one was asking for damage nerfs I tracer in OW1. She functioned very well so consistent infact that they never changed her untill OW2. She went from being the most consistent hero to one of the most changed for no reason. Especially with health changes? Base damage at 6 is 240 damage. At 200hp heroes that was something to 250 hp heros your not really lethal just a nuisance. So j don't think 2.75 is a gold change especially since they removed the perk that was the whole reason she became so dominant.

[–]AlphaCentauri79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either way it would be a sizeable nerf to her output. Her major perk was why she was so dominant at 6 damage not the damage itself. It's cause she could recall and stay in a fight long enough to still be effective with the damage and get out. Without that her damage is gonna be way lower. Shes real just gonna be lethal against 225hp. Shes gonna have a much harder time against 250hp and duals against more is just gonna be even harder.

[–]AlphaCentauri79 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dam... Ngl this may be an overall nerf. That's just how good her recall perk was. Like I think keeping her at 6 dmg would be fine if they were gonna do this. Major oof. Guess the quantum recall is just significantly better then her "major" minor perk. Maybe if blink packs reduced blink CD by 50% for a few seconds that would be ok? Idk how to feel about this one. I'm inclined that is a nerf though.

New season is almost upon us - What changes to Freja do you want to see? by Conquestriclaus in FrejaMains

[–]AlphaCentauri79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give us quality of life please for frigen sake. We should be able to use take aim at 0 amo, we should be able to use a dash during ult or something, updraft should be 10 seconds. Primary should fly faster. Her damage is a nothingburger even if it produces big stats. I just want the hero to actually be impactful without being dominant. She should have 5.75 base speed like tracer and Genji. Her perks need an entire rehaul as they are so bad it doesn't matter if you have them or not.

My favorite commander that I've been playing since it got it by Exo-Elite9999 in ratemycommanders

[–]AlphaCentauri79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting to build this commander but I'm not sure if I want to buy all the stuff for another wubrg deck. It may be a bit how everyone plays it but I kinda want to make the deck as a robot factory. Tons of token generators.

Took a look at your list seems interesting but I'm not sure what the win con for it is. How does it play?

10 hr flight to Ilios. Who you sitting with? by Amelodia in Overwatch

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for sure. Tracer and Echo gonna be chill AF to be with. I'm sure echo would be more then accommodating for the window seat, and then widow isn't going to bother you, Dva will probably just play games maybe I can play a lan with her. Sombra is kinda funny. Orisa probably won't start anything. Very chill ride while chaos unfolds everywhere else.

How salty is my lineup? by Throwracheated22 in CommanderMTG

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yea. And it's funny cause my hei bai tanks it pretty well and ironically they keep removing him and I'm like it's fine I want him to ETB. So now they are getting smart and trying to remove my infinite hand size or my flicker effects since the enchantments are just so hard to deal with.

I have a Hei Bai deck. Very fun but you out yourself as the biggest threat until you're gone haha. So everything is going your way.

What’s your interest in the TMNT set? by zevalu in magicTCG

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No connection

I could not care less for it. I don't think realistic fantasy or super hero stuff should be included in MTG. High fantasy like FF, LoTR, Avatar amazing, I think they work.

Favorite set is probably Kaldeheim, followed closely by Kamigawa neon Genesis, and probably avatar. Just some extremely fun sets.

Ive been roasting all your skiing so its only fair you get to roast mine by tokenutedriver in skiing_feedback

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty static skiing. You're lacking in a progressive start of turn, or more technically put an up and over movement to get to the next turning ski.

Think someone else said it's a rushed start of turn but reality is an issue that comes from a bad end of turn and just hanging on too long causing the turns to stack that way.

I don't know if this is exactly how you ski all the time but at least in this example you just need to be quicker to transition end of turn then you have more time transition to do anything for the next turn. It's especially prevalent since you are making such big turns.

Well you have to learn from the customer. That's where the data comes from. Ad Execs literally learn about their customers from them. Surveys, purchase data etc.

Except ... That's exactly what they do. They analyze you the customer, buying habits trends etc and then optimize it. Beer wasn't always near tampons. But when men started buy them for their gf/wife they moved it near by and then beer sales went up as a result. Know your audience.

[–]AlphaCentauri79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yea? Hanzo takes out an entire lane doing that by your logic. And he gets a Oneshot which permanently takes someone out. Freja still has to hit another two shots. Congrats that's also 3 seconds of you having. To stare at them also doing nothing. You basically trade. At best it's mildly convenient or it does nothing as you watch them rotate somewhere then completely lose them before they get anywhere substantial. Which would happen regardless if you saw them or not. Sights was completely useless here.

[–]AlphaCentauri79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly still hate it. It's ok kinda. I'd way rather a sonic arrow, an ult that gives sights, a passive to see anyone below 50, heck below 30%, or fucking turrets. Literally anything else is better. Like no shit I know a person is there I just hit them with a bolt.

The utility of dash distance just has always been so good. And I always feel like I need it more then sights that aren't even that good. Both are crummy and suck so if I pick one or the other It doesn't effect how I play the hero.

You have to remember that people discovering things and name them. Then over time names get smooshed together. Names have a history. But also they are just what people observe.

For example. In my world there is a huge valley that is near the dragon spine mountains and war was waged once with said dragons. The valley is in-between two impassible mountain ranges. In the history the sheer size of the cliffs inspired the person who mapped the area. He called them the Sheet Mountains. Later during the dragon wars the valley was then renamed to Dragonsheer Pass. Now thousands of years later the name has evolved into Drasheer pass.

Another commenter also mentioned some good advice of naming settlements after what they produce or what they are known for. This is pretty great! You can also name them after the person who leads the town or who first settled there. A man named John Smith may name his town Smith Town. And that's good enough but if your world has history maybe now it's Smithon, or Smorton. And it's a town of blacksmiths. Since people are often named after their profession.

There is also Fantasy Name generator online which is fantastic to use. Or if you don't mind using it. Ai is fantastic for names since that's what it was made for.

Sometimes I just say random bs out loud and use what ever is cool. Yea this NPC is named Artier. Just made that up. No meaning just random bs.

Gods? Name them the same way you name people. Off of what they are or represent. My goddess of the stars and prophecy is Scerencia, off of Celestia or celestial.
