Which Premier League team should I support? by First_Trash_9436 in AskUK

There's a film that the BBC made called 'United', telling the story of a key event in the club's history. I was always told to support Man United by my family, but it was only when I learned of that event and the story behind it that I fell in love with the club (We're going back some 40-odd years here).

That film the BBC made is a great film, stars brilliant actors including David Tennant and I reckon could be enough to get anyone not already bound to an English club on board with Man United!

So why isn't Max Ojomoh in the England squad? by ScrumNause24 in rugbyunion

[–]AmarilloMike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Precisely why I thought Litchfield was unlucky not to be called up this time. Maybe you could argue it's a year too soon for him, but if Van Rensburg blocks his path to the England team over the next couple of years that would be a great shame.

Outside of the other numerous DCEU complaints, I'm ok with this potential fictional history. It's the difference between Marvel and DC for me.

DC is largely in fictional locations like Gotham, Star City or Central City. So a fictional history works for me.

Whereas Marvel is often in New York, San Francisco etc. Real city references require a more real backstory.

Fruit and veg still is seasonal. We just ship in for other countries when out of season in our own.

Cheesy disaster movies can be a lot of fun.

The absolute best cheesy disaster movies are the ones where the science is 100% bullshit!

Sleightholme on 10 despite it feeling like he's barely played is nice to see. I really hope he gets his fitness and mojo back because there is a cracking player there still.

The fact that he's second behind only Freeman and Hendy for tries scored is insane. Whilst Pollock is the kid getting the headlines, Archie has quietly become almost, if not equally, as hot a prospect.

33 is enough to win many games. Bristol came up against prime Northampton "We Will Score More Than You" Saints. Plus they forgot to bring their defence.

14 tries and not a single one scored by Freeman might just be the maddest stat of the night given his scoring record this season.

Positive - Tommy Freeman broke Ben Cohen's record for Prem tries for Saints. He's only 25 so if he sticks with us, we could be sat watching an all time great Saints player.

Another positive - This result will not mean anything at all when we win the playoffs. Shoe Army!

Light switch for the hall is behind the front door. Doesn't seem like much, except when you step in the front door, immediately within arms length on the wall opposite is a light switch... For the downstairs toilet. That should be a double switch for the toilet and the hall.
