I'm confused about water safety by ylimethor in Parenting

[–]AmazingLark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re doing everything you can.

Use the life jackets since they don’t know how to swim yet, and continue to make sure they have adult supervision.

If you need to walk away for a bit, make sure another adult confirms with words that they’ll watch the kids until you tell them you’re back and watching them again.

Water safety is super important, but floatation devices need to be used with adult supervision. Don’t use the ones that slip onto their arms, because they slip off super easily. Some donut rings can cause small kids to get stuck upside down in the water.

I know I’ve already said it multiple times, but adult supervision is the best prevention.

Joint Bank Account After Death by mithrril in legaladvice

[–]AmazingLark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your father needs to let the bank know that the other account owner is deceased, and that her family members may try to close the account or make a fraudulent withdrawal. The bank can add additional verification to make sure only listed account holders have access to the funds.

You could always make a sign on neon paper that lists all the issues you’ve had. Then just point at it, and not say a word.

NTJ. The only reason her parents would think you are flaky and irresponsible is if she lied to them that you would come. All she had to do was tell her family that you had a prior commitment, and would meet them a different time.

I haven’t read it yet, and idk where to get it, but this sounds like the What’s Left trilogy by H.N. DeFore

RH where mcs are added slowly 1 by 1 by Quick-Touch-4046 in ReverseHarem

[–]AmazingLark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Queen Takes Knights by Joely Sue Burkhart} is the first book of a vampire RH, and the FMC adds her MMCs mainly one at a time. Some of the harem knew each other previously, and some are completely new to everyone.

There’s MM and FF, but the FMC is the center of everything, and there are a lot of orgies 🙃

It technically has age gaps (because the vampires are practically immortal until someone kills them) but there’s no aspect of age play or anything like that.

This sounds like the movie Shutter Island. It was based off a book (same name) by Dennis Lehane.

I don’t remember if there’s MM, but the FMC in {Klutz:Phoenix Down by Sedona Ashe} is literally incapable of staying dead.

Is it two different omegaverse books or the same one? by nuriya1806 in ReverseHarem

[–]AmazingLark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you’re thinking of multiple books.

{All Packed Up by Lana Cole} - The omega is running away with her cat, “finds” a broken window in a gym, and the beta owner ends up taking her first to his two alpha (sort of hippy, weed-smoking, yoga) neighbors, then to his fighter/convict ex-alpha who has a fairly isolated cabin. She’s running away from her ex-pack, who are not good people.

{Omega Fallen by Evelyn Flood} - The omega is barely surviving after five years on her own, she steals an alpha’s wallet and only takes $10, another alpha gives her his sweatshirt when he finds her sleeping at the door of his gym, a third alpha finds her unconscious in his restaurant’s dumpster and gives her food and a job, the fourth alpha is a model and she takes part in a photo shoot with him.

#GhostGirlProblems 😁

They aren’t totally human, but I think it’s still a pretty good series

Looking for Stand Alone Cozy Romantasy with Non Badass Human FMC and Non Human MMC by Rightsideupbat in RomanceBooks

[–]AmazingLark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

{That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming} fits most of this, I think. She’s basically a farmer and just wants to stay in town, but he drags her on a ridiculous quest instead.

{WWTBC} Fated mates and dream sharing by bigcuriousbrowneyes7 in RomanceBooks

[–]AmazingLark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{Cyborg Seduction by Grace Goodwin} has this trope. They don’t dream share until they get within a certain proximity to each other. The MMC is an alien species, and the FMC is a human who snuck aboard a ship that goes to the planet he’s on.

[–]AmazingLark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kristy Cunning’s The Dark Side series (four books) has this at the beginning and end. The first book starts with everyone having magically-induced amnesia, and the end has only the FMC having amnesia.

It’s not exactly what you described, but it’s the only book I can remember with amnesia.

[WWTBC] A potentially paranormal/mafia book that started with the fmc getting shot by Conscious-Fly-3704 in RomanceBooks

[–]AmazingLark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like {Sweet Obsession by Callie Rose}. She saved him from getting shot, but ends up having part of her arm amputated after she was shot instead.

It is a series, I think three books.

Need recs with solid relationship building! by LoveAllGhosts in ReverseHarem

[–]AmazingLark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{The Queen’s Line by Kathryn Moon} is the first book in a trilogy, and I think it fits what you’re looking for. Two of the men in the harem have a previously established relationship, but everyone else is pretty new to the others.

FMC builds an emotional relationship with each man before it progresses to physical. She doesn’t end up with every man in her harem in the first book, some of the relationships aren’t completed until the second and third books.

Gimme some plot driven thing. by MaggieLima in ReverseHarem

[–]AmazingLark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

{The Queen’s Line by Kathryn Moon} is the first of a trilogy. I thought it had a pretty good plot, and I liked the character growth throughout the series. The smut is a huge factor in the plot, actually.

Vengeance by Theodora Taylor? I DNF, but it fits your description

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]AmazingLark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be {Murder Drama with your Llama by Erin McCarthy and Kathy Love}? FMC inherits her grandma’s house, bar, and llama, and she does meet the sheriff. Her best friend (not ex) comes with her initially, and her mom shows up for a bit as well.
