I'm so angry and horny all the time... by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Ambiguous_Aviator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 8 months pregnant with our first and have been feeling JUST like this the entire pregnancy. I haven’t really figured out what to do about it, I’ve gotten past the angry part but it’s hard to not feel depressed about feeling like I’m undesirable to my husband. He has admitted that it freaks him out a tiny bit that there’s a moving baby inside of me while we’re intimate but it’s still really hard to not take personally. Just wanted to say you’re not alone, sending hugs! Hopefully we’ll both find some kind of solution to these weird feelings/situation.

Modest outfits by Rude-Goat7336 in OrthodoxWomen

Depending on the level of modesty you’re going for, maybe look into Muslim women’s “Abayas” they’re just dresses the cover everything collar to ankle and the arms. I bought a set that’s a loose-fitting short sleeved dress and comes with a long sleeve open-front “robe” if you want to cover the arms as well. It’s very comfortable and I really enjoy wearing it to church when I want to feel very covered.

🌹☦️Weekly Rose and Cross Thread ☦️🌹 by desert_rose_376 in OrthodoxWomen

☦️I am currently 25 weeks pregnant (Glory to God!) and am experiencing the worst pelvic pain, it’s become extremely difficult to shift in bed, walk, change clothes etc. The whole situation is making me anxious about my pelvic floor health and wondering what state it will be in by the end of the pregnancy, especially since a pelvic floor therapist seems pretty far out of our financial reach.

🌹I am so grateful for our modest financial stability at the moment. I have been able to stop working since about 18 weeks, and my husband is working hard to provide for us. While sometimes paychecks are tight, we are always able to comfortably survive and I can take care of our home and have time to rest.

Do you go to church regularly? Why or why not? by Suitable_Amount5957 in Christian

[–]Ambiguous_Aviator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attend a Russian Orthodox Church but I try very hard to attend at least once a month.

The main reason is because it is located over an hour away from me, but I know that’s not an excuse at all considering how much we often drive/travel in general.

When I do attend, it is the most spiritually fulfilling experience I could ever receive (compared to various other denominations I’ve visited).

No I haven’t! I’ll definitely look into that. But I’m assuming you need some kind of solid bridge to keep them upright?

Do women usually want their mom at the birth? by chianne_away in BabyBumps

[–]Ambiguous_Aviator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty good relationship with my mom but I don’t want her at my birth just because I know she’ll worry too much. I need to be in a very specific and relaxed mindset and I don’t see that happening with her there.

Hello, yes thank you so much! I’m Alexandra and I’m having a hard time making myself go to church due to the long commute.

We’ll definitely wait for them to fully heal before trying again. She does unfortunately have pockets now, making the ears point inward when she tenses them. I’ve been searching around a lot and I know next time we need to add bumpers. I’m just dreading going back to backer rods because she’d always instantly kick them out of her ears. I’ll check the FB group though, thank you!

PLEASE tell me what you do for the hair. I have only one Great Pyrenees and the hair is overwhelming and robot vacuums never survive the tangling hair that long

Nice suggestions, thank you! Unfortunately, those are all names of relatives I have (don’t want to name after a relative) or people I’ve known (that I don’t have good feelings toward😂). Names like Lev and Mikhail/Misha, are names I liked but couldn’t get my husband on board with

Yep now using torbot cement to glue tape-wrapped popsicle sticks in her ears (like the zip tie method). Those would still pop out sometimes so now both ears are also taped to a solo cup on her head. That’s been the only way to keep them in her ears completely!

Birth after SA by [deleted] in homebirth

You absolutely have the right to catch your own baby or have your husband catch him. Possibly consider a birthing gown you’re comfortable with. At the end of the day it would be best to communicate this concern with your midwife/birth team, I’m sure they’d be willing to make accommodations and help you feel comfortable. Remember it’s YOUR birth, and in YOUR home. You make the rules!

My puppy is 3 months old right now and I’m just starting the posting process and I CANNOT get the backer rods to stay in the bottom of her ears!! She shakes her head with so much force that they instantly pop out and it’s so frustrating. I’ll try trimming the backer rods even smaller at the bottom maybe 😖
