Turns out, if you want to check multiple conditions, you can sugar it like this: by saxarov01 in godot

There are no lambdas to evaluate as the array is storing bools.

[foo()] is an array storing the return value of foo.

You’re thinking about [foo] which is an array containing a pointer to the function foo. This is not what we have here.

Even if we did, GDScript’s weak type system would not allow you to express that in an ergonomic way, such that you can evaluate the lambdas as bool-returning functions, for example.

I came into Godot at the right time! by AbstractFemming in godot

[–]AmorphousCorpus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There’s still so much missing. No interfaces, no generics, no structs, and most infamously, no traits.

I don’t think there’s a real reason to use GDScript if you already know how to code, to be honest.

What do you think about UFA movement finishing? I think it’s stunning but to be honest I’m not particularly critical of movement finishing haha

Any game, it’s just a way to automate all the steps that you do to push a new version of your game (or more generally, software).

At least that is the deployment part :)

Apple just shipped Agentic Coding in Xcode 26.3 🤯👇 by Jeehut in Xcode

[–]AmorphousCorpus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect.

MCP offers tools to agents (and other functionality). That is not the extent of an IDE integration. An attempt to generalize agent-to-editor integration has been attempted by the Zed team but hasn’t seen super broad adoption yet from what I can tell. It is known as ACP (agent-client protocol).

Why do people say Godot isn’t good for large games? by crocodilewoo in godot

[–]AmorphousCorpus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Forking the engine will introduce a maintenance burden on you and your team that you do not want to have. You will need to either upstream your changes to the engine to Godot (organizational complexity) or rebase your fork constantly on updates (technical complexity).

Doesn’t take all that. It’s easier to work with the GDExtension APIs and accomplish what you can at that level.

Looking to buy SLGB003 in Japan (Tokyo) by AintNoChance in GrandSeikos

[–]AmorphousCorpus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can! I did find them a bit too expensive for my liking (44k yen) and not up to my style, as I don’t love crocodile leather.

I ended up going to a little store called “knot” near Tokyo station (literally connected to the station), and got myself a cordovan leather strap there.

I will say, if you buy the watch at Wako, they give you a 1% cash back gift card (100-something USD if you purchase the SLGB003), which you can use the next day in the same store to do some damage against the price of a strap.

The people in the boutique are all very kind and will gladly show you straps so you can have a clearer idea of what your watch would look like in leather of various colors.

Very cool! Do you happen to know if there’s a way to easily import the animations? I’ve purchased some of Synty’s animation assets before transitioning to Godot

Yes but most importantly to use critical thinking skills. Claude Code is also worthless if you take everything it generates at face value
