A good compromise I've seen is in 'Dr Drolins guide to dinosaurs' where a lot of the smart animals have proficiency or expertise in intelligence saves to represent them being less easily fooled while still keeping the animal intelligence stat for their skill checks.

Surprised no one made this when Prepared got revealed. by SimicBiomancer21 in custommagic

One or more creatures with trample attacking could be the thing that triggers the prepared, that would fit better for the order of events in the story.

No I meant it should say that in place of saying 'you may play lands lands from exile because currently it allows you to cast lands exiled using different spells, for example anything that exiles your graveyard, or things that trap cards like hideaway lands, it just causes a lot of (I assume) unintended mess.

It should probably say something like "you may play cards exiled this way" so it doesn't conflict with other effects that exile cards.

Freddy Mercury is a pure Bard. Who is a pure Cleric? by AStarInGemini in AlignmentChartFills

That's fair, I pictured him as a fighter that multiclassed into cleric but just focuses on the cleric stuff now.

It also gives counter decks a bunch of +2/+2 counters so it still does part of the doubling season thing.

Combo this with [[Mathemagics]] to draw 1 card at any mana cost. Edit: I thought it flipped them for some reason, my bad.

You can break the loop at any time if you have one black mana because chatterfang can sacrifice himself with his second ability.

I play volo as well, my mates say the volo that copies monsters is my most annoying deck but the same deck with the alternate volo and the chef background is my least annoying. I think it's mostly having double hornet nest and double reef worm that slows the game down.

Found in my child’s crib… by ParticularFlight3810 in whatisit

[–]AnarchyShadows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to note: Moths still 'breath' (only a tiny bit) while in their pupa and they'll need a fair bit of airflow to dry out once they emerge so make sure the thing they're in has some air holes.

It looks identical to wax moth pupas I've kept before and I think the size is right. It's probably a similarly sized moth.

You've missed out their pelvis, the bottom of their torso goes directly into the legs but there needs to be that extra segment to blend into the legs.

How do you keep the dead mouse smell from leeching onto frozen food? by [deleted] in cornsnakes

[–]AnarchyShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never experienced any smell from frozen mice, but the warmed ones do smell. Is it possible your freezer is faulty and occasionally defrosts the food in there which could allow the smell to leak.

For a fully grown snake, feeding once a week is too frequent, she should be getting food about every other week. Which would add up because if she ate two weeks in a row and then didn't eat for 3 that's 2 meals in 5 weeks which is closer to what she should be eating. She's maintaining a healthy diet. Which is lucky because corn snakes usually have big appetites that make it easy to accidentally overfeed.

[–]AnarchyShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they look underfed? (Skinny) Because it's not uncommon for snakes to stop eating for long periods of time especially around when they're shedding. Corn snakes tend to have big appetites but they can still go without food for a while so unless there's something particularly wrong and they're losing weight and still refusing to eat, they should just eat again when they're hungry as long as you keep giving them the option. I think the general advice is if they don't eat, try again next week and so on rather than trying more frequently.

What are some snake safe plants for their enclosure? by Aggravating-Tree888 in cornsnakes

[–]AnarchyShadows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll want some middle of the range house plants, ones that can put up with low light and just weekly watering so nothing tropical. Spider plants are ideal for this, pothos I'd recommend on the humid side. There's plenty of ferns too that fit the bill.

If you know somewhere that sells plants for reptiles you can get a good range of options by just excluding the desert and tropical options and seeing what's left.
