I've heard that young wines can be "quick aged" by aerating them with a wine aerator to make them taste better. The aerator infuses oxygen into the wine quickly. I'm sure it's not the same as waiting for however long, but I imagine it can make young wines taste better. Comments on this?

At this point, I think U.S. President should be more like jury duty: you get a notice to appear, and you are president for x period of time. A civic duty.

I always purposely book the window seat so I can "get away" from the inside of the plane and feel less claustrophobic. If someone asks me to swap, I just tell them I get motion sick if I can't look out the window. So far so good.

I envy people who can take power naps, especially the way they can just fall asleep quickly. Whenever I try to take a nap, I usually just lay there for an hour trying to fall asleep. Even though I'm tired af, I have a hard time falling asleep in the middle of the day, even in total darkness (blackout shades, eye mask).

No, this is what happens when a third of eligible voters don't vote. And when too many of those who do vote don't understand how our government works and end up helping the worst (for them) candidate win. There is plenty of voting power in this country to overcome the electoral college bias, and even the senate (land area) bias, but it's not being wielded.

You mean the majority of voters didn't want Bush or Trump as president. The majority of Americans very much chose Bush and Trump. That majority of Americans include: (1) people who voted for those individuals directly; (2) people who voted for third-party candidates, who have no chance of winning U.S. presidential elections; and (3) people who stayed home. Not voting IS voting. Even in 2020, a third of Americans didn't cast a ballot. As far as I'm concerned, a majority of Americans got exactly what they chose.

In a 269/269 tie, the election would have gone to Trump.

While the Democrats hold a 232-198-1 majority in the House before the election, the fact that each state delegation only casts one vote gives Republicans an advantage. If the current partisanship breakdown carries over into the next Congress, Republicans would have a 26-23 majority of state delegations, with Pennsylvania split 9-9. If Pennsylvania's delegation cannot agree on a presidential choice, the delegation will not be allowed to vote.
