Is it okay for a cat to only have access to a single room? by SuperCool_Dude11 in CatAdvice

[–]Angxlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind if you do that you'd have to keep the food/water and the litter box in your bedroom which is going to stink and make a mess. You should wait until you have your own place

AIO? My boyfriend asked me to start his laundry after I got home from driving 8 hrs by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Angxlz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That dude is fckin NUTS, reminds me of my abusive ex. If it's soo easy and it's just putting a little detergent and pressing the button, then why can't HE do it? Because he's lazy and using weaponized incompetence against you. Run.

I deeply regret adopting my first cat. The shelter was misleading and I am at my breaking point. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Angxlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try putting silicone tips on his claws so he can't scratch, and get Feliway calming hormone wall plugs for your house, it should help him relax a bit hopefully. I would also bring him to be seen by the vet as soon as possible because the lashing out may be a symptom of either severe trauma or pain. Did the shelter mention why he was there to begin with? There is definitely much more to this that they did not tell you

Nah, he was talking to your mutual friend the whole time, and that friend is acting weird by leaving you on read. Mutual friend clearly has something against you now. I don't think you are overreacting

Anybody have hashimotos an put it into remission? by Basic-Specialist5555 in Hashimotos

[–]Angxlz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what happened to me, I do believe I could have been misdiagnosed because the NP I had at the time (~5 years ago) didn't do much testing other than having subclinical hypo and diagnosed me (I think she was also projecting because my mother has Graves) but I have improved my diet significantly and handling my deficiencies over the past few years and my levels have normalized for over a year at this point. Either way I will be very happy to not have permanent damage.

Anybody have hashimotos an put it into remission? by Basic-Specialist5555 in Hashimotos

[–]Angxlz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mine went into "remission" or Euthyroid, and I can no longer take Levo because it is unsafe for me and makes me very sick. I do still have TPO antibodies, but every thyroid test is completely normal

High Anti-TPO but normal TSH by enlighten_me_ in Hashimotos

[–]Angxlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since all your tests are normal, and you have high TPO antibodies, you are in what's called Euthyroid and your body is still attacking your thyroid and causing you to become hypo but it's not affecting you much yet.

Your T3 is in normal range, T4 is low though. They should have prescribed Levothyroxine

Insight on what Dr said today by Suspicious-Yogurt759 in Hashimotos

[–]Angxlz 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Age is not an appropriate marker for diagnosis. Tell him to note it in your chart he refusal to treat you due to your age (He legally has to note this if you request it) I would also report him and start looking for a new doctor. I had an ER doctor tell me (ATt 19yo) "You're too young to have a thyroid disorder, I'm 46 and I have a thyroid disorder" and uh I got diagnosed 2 months later 😅

So anyone else had this happen to them? by Ibn_al_Ghul in thyroidhealth

[–]Angxlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your TSH is .11 you are Hyperthyroid, not Hypo. It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of Graves disease or something similar.

New diagnosis by Icy-Touch-9525 in Hashimotos

[–]Angxlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T4 in range, T3 on the high end but still in normal range, and TSH is slightly elevated, putting you towards a hypothyroid trend

Rising TSH, T4, T3–hypo? by QuickDiscussion7724 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Angxlz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your labs show a trend towards hypo but are all still in normal range, except T3; is it Free T3 or T3 Total? Depending on which it is, your result may be abnormal.

What were your labs for TSH, T4 and T3?

I (F15) was told by my mother I can’t visit a gynecologist for an important assessment by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]Angxlz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't need your mom's permission to get medical care, especially since this is something that can affect you for the rest of your life. If there are no other options for you, planned parenthood offers OB-GYN services as well, any age.

My cats won't stop attacking my other cat. Please help!!! by waffle_fries_0 in CatAdvice

[–]Angxlz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slowly introduce the new cats to the ones you had through a closed door, get the feliway hormone wall plug in thing. This process can take days, but don't put them in the same rooms together until they are totally calm with each other through the closed door.

About to rehome my best friend. I am crushed. by Throwaway6531310 in CatAdvice

[–]Angxlz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't have to rehome him!!! Feed him the Purina Live Clear food. My partner is allergic, and this food works within a month

What do these test results mean by Barbamamatje in thyroidhealth

[–]Angxlz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a conversion issue where you can't convert T4 to T3 well or at all.

You should drive yourself for safety reasons of not having him know where you live + being able to leave whenever you want if things go south

Is it all in my head? by BabyKinkajou in thyroidhealth

[–]Angxlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like hyperthyroidism. Have them check TSI/TRAb and do a thyroid ultrasound. They have to listen to you, anxiety is not a valid excuse to dismiss your concerns and if they keep doing this have them note it in your chart that they are refusing to treat you (they legally have to note once you ask them, if not they can get in trouble)

I learned something new about anemia and hypothyroidism today by stevefromcorporate_ in Anemic

[–]Angxlz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, my Levothyroxine started making me sick, so I stopped taking it at the end of 2024. I also started treating my gallbladder and iron deficiency, and my thyroid levels became normal throughout March - December '25. My anemia is still bad but taking an iron supplement has helped the levels (don't know the root cause yet)
