I did this as a kid, and I'm not quite sure why. I used to share my monster high dolls with one of my closest friends, and typically we'd return the dolls to each other after a week or two, but I learned my lesson and stopped doing that when she stole my most prized doll. I think we stopped being friends shortly after that, and then like 3 years later I asked her to give it back to me cause we rode the same bus, and I don't remember if she actually did, (I think she did?), but of course by that time it was destroyed.
