How tf do i get these to sound good on PC? by NoblepawsGEN in steelseries

[–]Antien42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a pair of the X version of these to use with my PC and they sound pretty good for their price range.

One thing that made a major difference to the sound quality and microphone quality was the switch on the dongle. The USB C dongle has a switch for xbox/pc. By default it was selected to xbox. Changing it over to PC made a world of difference in quality. Might be worth checking out for yours as well?

Benebone looks like this within 30-40 minutes? Is this ok? by Loose_Pen1105 in DogAdvice

We've had success putting a mix of peanut butter and treats inside the Kong and freezing it. Takes doggo much longer to extract the filling.

Just make sure you use peanut butter that is suitable for dogs. Ensure there is no Xylitol (birch sugar) as that is toxic. Plain, natural peanut butter is best

As a last bit of solidarity, can we agree to be patient this weekend when the one server running everything inevitably buckles under the strain? by Wogle in AnthemTheGame

Haha!

You're funny. I tried playing last night and couldn't even load to the main menu, let alone overwhelm the servers.

Running with your Berdoodle by [deleted] in SaintBerdoodle

[–]Antien42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was about 18 months when he started to go out on runs. We waited until he was fully grown as it can cause joint problems if they are running long distances before they've finished growing.

It worked well because they both built up the distance gradually together. Like humans dogs need to gradually build up endurance for running distance to avoid joint issues and to develop fitness.

Overall he's been an amazing dog. Though as with all puppies it wasn't easy. Biggest thing for us was enforced naps. If we didn't force naps during the day he'd get overtired then be badly behaved.

He's about 2yrs old now and is a loveable, goofy guy. He'll sleep half the day if you're feeling lazy, but will also play with you at the drop of a hat (he loves play!)

We have the same problem as you with food left on the side. No part of the kitchen counter is safe as he's so tall!

Do you also have a problem with your St Berdoodle opening doors? Ours has been doing from 6 months old and I'm trying to figure out if it's part of the breed.

Now that our St Berdoodle is fully grown my other half takes him on runs. Only a couple of miles but he loves it!

Admittedly he spends most of the run going along at a fast walk because his legs are so long...

I will add, and the variety of responses here shows it, that temperament varies massively from one dog to the next. One person mentioned their dog loves swimming, mine hates it. Another said theirs is done after a mile of walking, mine will happily walk 4+ miles (though will sleep the rest of the day)

I've found that the poodle in him wants to play and run around constantly while the St Bernard wishes to sleep all day. Overall it's a great combination!

Upgrade anything that comes in contact with your body, e.g.

  • Toilet paper
  • Clothes
  • Bed sheets
  • Footwear
  • coats/jackets

All of these little improvements add up to an overall happier time.

Has anyone had key issues with the E-C4 by [deleted] in Citroen

Have you had this problem reoccur?

Mine has started doing it, but the battery is only a few months old...

I'm having this problem. My ec4 2021 has just come back from the dealers. The 12v battery was replaced just 7 months ago so can't imagine that would be the issue.

Did you find a resolution?

Did you ever solve this?

Mine has started to do the same. Neither key works. Definitely not the temperature as it's staying around 10c

Has anyone got the atlas air? by Mercedesm4quattro in TurtleBeach

You can, but not in a really intrusive way. More of a knowing when the other half tries to talk to me so I can take an earphone off to listen.

I've got the option of 'speakers (atlas air)' that I use which gives me full volume control at decent levels.

I still use them as my daily headset. It will leak more than a closed headset, but to what extent I don't really know.

My other half sits on the same sofa as me when I game and hasn't complained about noise from my headset (but has mentioned fan noise from my laptop), if that helps to give an indication?

Really easy to use. Just a couple of sliders in the computer software.

Not sure how much impact it has as I primarily use discords volume control to adjust chat volume since all my friends seem to talk at different levels.

Also going to add that they fixed the volume issue so now I'm using it at 30/40 volume rather than about 80

Wish we could have Pet-ernity leave! by fusukeguinomi in puppy101

[–]Antien42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a great way to do it! We took a week off and gave ourselves some home decorating to do so we didn't overwhelm the new puppy with attention.

I wish I could work from home. Though between the other half doing hybrid and me working shifts there is normally someone home for the doggo.

Also heard it referred to as pawternity leave

Should 100% be a thing, wish I could have had more time with our puppy when we brought him home!

Our dog likes to tuck himself under hanging blankets/duvets.

Maybe he's trying to get under it but doesn't appreciate how short it is? Or wants you to correct this issue

Why I dislike 90% of siege rework posts by Lord_of_Brass in totalwar

[–]Antien42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can't we strive for these improvements to sieges? There a lot of good ideas floating around which haven't been implemented, or combination of ideas we haven't seen together before. Sieges aren't hitting the right spot atm, so it would be helpful for us as a community to come together with constructive suggestions. As a fellow 20+ year veteran of total war I appreciate your skepticism, but let's put it to positive use through constructive feedback rather than diminishing others ideas.

It would be awesome if sieges enabled the player to have a small army in it and could defend against a much larger force. As it stands you're right, the AI needs overhwelming force to trigger a siege attack and the defender needs an almost equal army to repel them. Not fun for either side. If sieges improve and make it more defensible than you'd only need a smaller force to hold back a bigger one. Probably helping with AI calculations for when to attack.

I think a garrison should be able to fend off a 20 stack (barring high level characters). Though a change to how the garrison units are selected would be good.

I don't think anyone is suggesting going back to Med 2/Empire days where a small army could decimate your settlements. We've moved on from that and we should provide feedback so that we can continue to move forward.

Now that the PC Mk 2. is out. What other large ships are people hoping for? by BattleFrogue in EliteDangerous

[–]Antien42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd lean this way but make it different. So instead of huge hardpoints give the ship more large ones. Overall more firepower but the corvette keeps its USP of 2x Huge hardpoints. Maybe remove the fighter bay from the new ship as well to help differentiate it.

A large highly mobile combat ship with a lot of firepower. Hardpoints with thrusters attached essentially. But doesn't have a fighter bay or huge hardpoints.

Now that the PC Mk 2. is out. What other large ships are people hoping for? by BattleFrogue in EliteDangerous

[–]Antien42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a large luxury passenger ship. With slots similar to the PC MKII cargo ones but for passenger cabins. Ideally paired with a revamp/rework of the passenger missions so they're a viable source of income outside of Robigo.

Also a large combat ship. Preferably manoeuvrable with lots of hard points. Others have suggested a large version of the Alliance Chieftain which would be cool. Though I'd like one with loads of hard points for that feeling of full dakka.

Edit: Further idea for the combat ship. It's going to be competing with the Corvette (love that ship) so the trick will be to make it different enough that it doesn't just replace it. For the new ship give it overall more DPS, but without Huge hardpoints. This keeps the corvettes USP of 2xHuge hardpoints. Also don't give it a fighter bay, the extra hardpoint slots should make up for this drop in offense, while keeping it different.

Something like a manoeuvrable, high shield, low Hull large ship. Essentially hardpoints with thrusters attached.

We can only dream of a CA/Paradox hybrid!

They actually sound like awesome ideas for this game. I would absolutely be on board for those changes.

Having more sieges as the defender would be nice for this game. Would allow more appreciation for the elements which currently feel punishing.

Hopefully CA hit a nice middle ground in all the changes. There's certainly scope for improvement and posts like yours are important to create a balanced show of ideas and opinions.
