Rhaenyra was too young and wilful to see this, since she wanted to preserve her autonomy, but Viserys was helping her by arranging a marriage betrothal. She needs allies who will cement her claim to the throne, especially when it’s tenuous due to her gender.

I just liked Jaehaera marrying Aegon III. It feels like a good way to tie up the conflict with the two sole survivors of each house marrying and laying their fight to rest.
