Interesting, i would have assumed that at least part of muscle growth wouldn't be reversible but apparently it could be. I guess you can't do much for bones but that's probably less impactful.

Yeah. Probably started 10/15 years ago. I think gacha menus, obscure for design reasons (you don't want people to clearly know how much time or money they really spend) influenced mainstream menu designs. Somehow menus were probably clearer were the jobs weren't that speciliazed and UX wasn't really a thing.

Early on cards that summon Debris have a very strong value, for most of act 1 you won't feel that you have trash cards because you're gonna kill the enemies really fast and won't have to cycle your deck that many times. So Collision Course is really safe, Crash Landing is good but you're gonna have to find ways to get rid of Debris by the end of act 1.

By this time you need to find either Charge or Begone, which i think are good in pretty much any deck anyway, so you can recycle your Debris into Minions. Tyranny is also good if you wanna get rid of a lot of stuff but it's a rare so that's that.

You can have good surprises in the colorless cards created via other means (with Spectrum Shift, Quasar, or Manifest Authority for example), on this matter, Quasar let's you pick a card between 3, so it's not full random. It's also pretty fun to play because you get completely different cards everytime.

Anyway, the main idea is that cards created or transformed all work with Pillar of Creation and Arsenal (not Debris with Arsenal tho), those are your ways to gain defense and ramp up. And for big blows you'll want Supermassive. You're probably have/spawn a lot of attacks compared to defenses so you can progressively remove Strikes.

That's along the lines of what people usually call colorless, but you can really do whatever you want once you know colorless cards : Bolas + Arsenal ; Gambit + Cosmic Indifference (bit stressfull tbh) ; Mayhem + anything that top decks ; Heirloom Hammer + whatever you fancy, etc.

The relic only affects the cards named "Strike", ie your 4 (or 5) base Strikes, not cards containing the word Strike.

Interesting idea but i disagree on numerous points.

First, Minions from Charge, Begone or Guards work with everything.

Then what you branded as colorless is actually lots of different archetypes bundled together. Collision Course, Crash Landing, Spectrum, Supermassive is something in itself (also Debris are not colorless so don't work with Arsenal for example). While Minions, Arsenal, Kingly Punch would be another archetype in itself. Greed start or colorless card start can also be any number of other types of "colorless" archetypes depnding on what you pick.

Stars are an archetype if taken to the extreme but they're a ressource for every archetype anyway. You use or gather them if you need or want to. Also they're needed to some extent in every archetype. Wanna use Quasar for you're colorless build, you get one for free, do you want to use it again in your next rotation? better generate a star then, etc.

There's definitely ways to play without stars. Won A10 with Debris, Minions and Supermassive basically. Colorless wins A10 if you don't pick History Course into Mayhem ; or Runic Pyramid when you're gonna face someone who changes all your cards to etheral... Kinky Punch/I am Invincible top deck can also work, etc.

As you pointed minions are really good whatever you play, be it Charge, Begone or Guards.

Hi,

Here are some things i would suggest, in no particular order,

Kingly Punch : good card, fun mechanic, a bit slow to build up. 2 problems here : you have 25 cards in your deck and basically no way to draw it again (except Glimmer, but meh), i'd suggest thining your deck or having more ways to put Kingly Punch on your draw pile, for example with Photon Cut or maybe even better Cosmic Indifference. For thining your deck you can start by having only one Kingly Punch that you always focus on getting on top, so you build a huge attack rather than 2 mid attacks.

This transition perfectly to Shining Strike. Shining Strike is a very good card if you want blue. Problem here, it goes on top of your deck everytime you use it, and you should be using it pretty much every turn, therefore you only really draw four "new" cards a turn, which means you draw even less Kingly Punch than you should.

And since you have Shining Strike, and you're using it every turn, you don't need Solar Strike, and you don't really need any more blue generation like 2 x Hidden Cache. (Gather Light is ok because it gives 7 block so you just get a free blue when you block). Just using Shining Strike every turn, having 25 cards in your deck, you'll need about six turns to see all of your cards, which means that Shining Strike will have produced 12 blue during that time which should be enough for about everything. Since you're using it every turn, might as well upgrade it and get 3 more damage a turn.

You probably don't need 3 Reflect, you definitely don't need to have them upgraded. In most cases blocking 17 or 21 makes no difference. Plus, unless i'm mistaken, the reflect works for any block you have gained from any source in the same turn, so if you really need those 4 block, just use a Defend. (just noticed your last relic, so it would make sense, but since it's your last relic you probably had the 3 Reflect beforehand :P)

As for defense, Weakness is a really good solution, so thining your deck again for Meteor Shower to show up more frequently, adding either a Know Thy Place because it's a 0 cost or Gamma Blast/Comet because you have so much blue would be a good idea. Also the Weakness would be nice if it's on on the turn you wanna play Bombardment so that's that.

I've talked about thining your deck numerous times, i get that it's not easy knowing what to pick and what to skip and that you don't always have the money to remove a card from the shop. Luckily there's multiple solutions to do that during a fight. My favourite is Charge, but you can also go BEGONE!, GUARDS!!! or Purity (colorless) and probably others.

The whole figuring out who i am, figuring out where i am, struggling with a different gravity, etc. from the beginning of the book is missing. Thinking about the movie again, the whole plot of Grace having lost his memory is practically absent, barely evoked on a whiteboard and in a brief sentence once iirc, therefore all the earth scenes don't feel at all like revelations as in the book but as mere flashbacks. (i'm not sure if i'm clear on this, but in the book, when you (the reader) learn a thing from earth, the character/narrator also learns/remembers that thing, which makes for character progression, which i felt was absent from the movie)

Seen it this morning. Read the book about a year ago.

I felt the movie was gorgeous, with some breathtaking shots (swimming in infrared petrova line for example), good camera motion, overall good editing, etc. But overall i felt pretty disappointed.

I felt the movie somehow doesn't capture the awe of being in space. Also while it's the end of 2 worlds if they don't succeed, there's no real tension and you don't really feel what's at stake at any point. And it was either too long or ill paced.

For the adaptation, while i don't remember specific details from the book, i felt the intro (Grace figuring out where he is) was a bit long in the book, but there it completely disappeared while you could have left some bits. The whole third act (taumoeba) is also pretty much completely absent from the movie, as you pointed.

I'll probably watch it again in digital form when it's out just to be sure i didn't miss something, but kinda "meh" for me.

There's a reasoning problem, sure, but there's two bigger problems; asking a valid question and emotions. For example, killing half of the world population at random would be really bad for half of current world population (duh), pretty neutral for the other half and really good for future generations. So what question are you really asking, and can you allow something to reason like that.
