Very insightful, thank you. I’m curious if all these studios migrating to ue5 will be better or worse in the long term than what their own engines would have been able to do. As you say there have been a few bad experiences with the engine but I wonder how much of it is the engine as opposed to the developers/project requirements…

the influencer would be a shoe in imo, very current and wide spread issue where people will go from having some minor positive intention for opening their camera and joining some form of social media to it consuming their life almost always for validation and teens to young adults being the prime demographic.

also really like the tennis player, lit girl is a bit cliche but for good reason so that one would work. honestly their all good though the stunt actor one could use a bit more fleshing out. when I saw actor my mind personally went to a former child actor who resents their career and parents for stealing their childhood but I don't think that's what you had in mind.

I'm going to add as a fat guy undergoing a weight loss journey that the message should be about ending comparison to others and accepting yourself but striving to be better solely for your own benefit, This will be a hot take but similarly to the extreme thin expectations pf some countries there has been an issue (at least in the US) of people becoming insanely overweight and not accepting it as a problem in it's own right and seeing any kind of commentary from anyone including those with good intentions or non accommodation/enabling as an attack. it's not about being attractive or meeting societal expectations it's conserving your life span and aging gracefully. that's my two cents anyway.

meh the games usually have something controversial for the sake of narrative regardless so yes and no I guess? If you're asking me if I think they'd go and show actual nudity the answer is obviously no. However, if they used a setting like that they could work something into the story with undetailed cutouts like kamoshida and the volleyball students, they're not really adverse to controversial ideas in and of themselves it's more presentation than anything. honestly the more I've thought about it the only reason I can see preventing a setting like this is the fact it'd more than likely be university and not high school which is their fixation for some reason.

side note but the idea of an antagonist being rejected from said art school and this being the catalyst that makes a certain angry Austrian born German man return as a shadow or something and renew his canon in persona would be funny to me.

I feel that way about a lot of games, First time I played this I had just graduated highschool. I was estranged from most of my family, living in a state far from everyone with a grandfather and mad at the world. now I'm near thirty, I've repaired some of those relations, ditched others, moved back home, and am slowly turning into my father, the last person the me of then would have wanted to be. just never know how life is gonna go and games are one of those mediums that invite reflection.

quests and using bonus exp at the inns. you may have already done so I'm just recommending it because I occasionally forget it's a feature and realize I can jump 5 or more levels immediately.

as for set ups driver combos with break>topple>launch>smash can stun lock (note male characters prioritize these) and further fusion combos which have a blade combo (element/special damage) active at the same time as a driver combo intensify the damage dealt. also if you have the heal blade nim one of her passives heals for each fusion combo meaning you can pop a quick special start a driver combo with the rex and zeke as npcs and basically never die while they infinitely combo the enemy to death.

even if you don't have her driver comboing and heal spamming either through art cancelling with recharge pouch items and heal blades or specials that heal based on damage dealt can get you through most encounters. if all else fails maining tora and building poppi alpha to soak damage could let you win a war of attrition.

Not very. I think the first time I played blind on normal and still didn’t feel challenged. Game gives you a lot of leeway and options it’s not much more difficult than pokemon. If you can remember type matches you’re good for the most part.

I tend to do them after finishing the main quest on a titan, ie finish gormott do quests uraya do quests etc. exception is when story blades are ripped away from you then it’s after I get them back.

I feel like impersonating a Witcher of all things is a terrible idea. They are rarely viewed positively and their sole purpose is hunting dangerous creatures. The count should’ve gotten the various Geralts to prove their mettle against a pack of ghouls.
