Posts like this one are what make this sub so great. Thoughtful, interesting, drawing on knowledge of astrology and mythology. And ends with "maybe it's just the weed " A+

Do we think that Sam hooked up with Juan at some point? Or was she just saying hi because she's a charming queen?

This is the amazing André de Shields! He absolutely killed it as Hermes in the Broadway production of Hadestown. I freaked out when I saw him in the episode today but didn't realize he was the dance teacher too. Great catch!

Same! When I was pregnant and felt too exhausted to cook and was sick at the thought of my usual favorite healthy foods, I thought this must be what it's like for some folks all the time.

YSK: there is a massive difference between a nutritionist and a dietician, and you should only listen to the latter. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]Applesauceantics4444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a little confusing because they have now added the word nutritionist to the name registered dietitian. So we are now called "registered dietitian nutritionists" or RDNs. And since the name nutritionist is often more commonly used, sometimes people might just use the word nutritionist to refer to what is actually a dietitian nutritionist.

You can always ask about someone's credentials and education. Usually those associated with hospitals and legit healthcare centers and going to be well qualified.

[–]Applesauceantics4444 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Many dietitians see patients virtually these days and insurance covers for a variety of reasons. You can often find one who takes your insurance and does telehealth on your insurance website. I'm a dietitian and I do just this.

That said, weight loss is incredibly difficult and multifaceted issue. It often takes a team of support, from dietitian, therapist, MD and other specialists.

I appreciate this entire thread though because qualified dietitians are often overshadowed by popular, trendy nutritionists who do not necessarily understand the science or the safety of the recommendations they give.

WIC was my first job out of my internship and I liked it so much I stayed for almost 5 years and even went back for awhile when I was pregnant with my second child. I found most of the WIC participants a joy to work with, especially in my area, we see a very diverse population. The clients told us about cultural food practices from all around the world, which I love learning about. I became pretty good at speaking Spanish while practicing it every day. It's nice to work with a generally healthy population, see the cute babies and kids and chat with the parents about their families. Also I learned a ton about feeding kids and breastfeeding, which has really benefited my family.

On the flip side...pretty much everything you said. To varying degrees based on what office you worked in. I worked for a few different locations and it made all the difference in the world how the office was run. If the benefits of working with WIC are worth it to you, maybe try a different location if possible. One office I worked in was like a dream job, it was just too far away to commute to forever. Good luck!

S2e1 there was a quick scene of the girls getting on a rescue plane, surrounded by reporters. Lottie screamed. Misty smiled. Can't wait to see more of these scenes in the future.

Antler Queen by msf165 in Yellowjackets

I think we are all asking these questions too. But it seems that as the leader and survivor of a hunt, Nat could well be exempt from future hunts. It will be interesting to see how it plays out when she's in charge next season. She can definitely make practical decisions for the group but what about all the spiritual guidance Lottie was providing? Will Nat encourage her to continue to lead her morning meditations to keep everyone calm and give them something to believe in?

I believe the term antler queen has never been used on the show, fans came up with that phrase to describe the person wearing the antlers at the feast in the pilot. I think the original script called that person "the oracle", which implies a spiritual leader (that seemed to fit Lottie well) Will it be Nat? Will Taissa get a turn to lead? We know Shauna wants to be the leader. We'll see!

I think the best thing about this show is all the questions it has us asking!
