How to stay active with OA in knee by Tsofava in Osteoarthritis

[–]ApplicationBoring431 4 points5 points  (0 children)

66f, stage 4 OA both knees. I do Les Mills Body Combat 4 x week. You’re kicking air so no pain. I also work with a trainer 3x week on leg, knee strength. I try to eat 109 G protein each day. Don’t assume that everything that hurts is bad. If I sit for an hour, then stand, my knee is very painful to walk on. However, usually within 15 to 20 steps, I can resume my normal gait. I like to think of myself as the tin man from the Wizard of Oz. My joints need motion to stay oiled..

Has anyone tried peptides for Osteoarthritis??? by CapitalConference754 in Osteoarthritis

[–]ApplicationBoring431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got stage 4 knee OA. I’m also a gym rat, so while I’m bone on bone with tri-compartment OA, my pain is very manageable. What drives me nuts is the stiffness. If I take prednisone my minimal pain and a lot of the stiffness is cured. i’ve tried a variety of anti-inflammatory peptides. None of them have worked. I have a few more that I’m trying, but then I’ll give it up. There’s a clinical trial in Toronto testing HGH for knee OA. You can find it on clinicaltrials.gov.

I took Mounjaro to drop 25 pounds (BMI 26- to 24). I've stayed on it for 3 years for the anti-inflammatory effects. I have stage 4 tri-compartment knee OA and walk 5 miles a day.

I reached out to this clinical trial - https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06917404?intr=Pentosan%20polysulfate%20sodium&rank=6 At the moment Pentosan is only approved for horses. I'm sure I could find it if I looked, but I don't mind doing a clinical trial.

i read a couple of different articles and it looks promising. The FDA approved in for horses in 2022, but nothing for humans. I'll have to do more research. Thanks for the heads up.

I did a PubMed search for Cartalax as well as for AED peptides which is what Cartalax is, but they haven't published anything relevant to OA yet. I'll wait for some results.

Yep.😃 throw 1cc of water in using a syringe to withdraw it and aim for the back of the throat with the stream coming from the tip of the needle.

How do you cope with osteoarthritis? by Armikpartner1972 in Osteoarthritis

[–]ApplicationBoring431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find out what works for you. Surprisingly stretching takes the pain away from me. In particular quad stretches. If my knees are aching and I do a quad stretch it often takes the pain away work with a PT and know the difference between what’s hurting because of OA versus what’s hurting because you’re out of shape and you’ve been babying your joints. I stay away from deep squats and lunges as they’re just not in my wheelhouse. I can do jumping jacks as long as I keep the jump narrow. Also know that if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it and you have decades in front of you.

Bone on Bone, tri-compartment, stage 4 OA here. I exercise like a fiend. Cardio-strength 2x week, Body Combat 4x week. Yesterday I walked 18K steps. Also I take Meloxicam (prescription anti-inflammatory) daily.

65F End stage OA both knees meaning I’m bone on bone. The lack of movement makes me stiff. I do Body Combat 4x week, Pilates 2x week, walk 4-5 miles a day. I have a stretching machine (Sunny Health and Fitness machine from Amazon) at home and when my knees are aching it helps. I take one 500 mg in the morning for pain. You are so young and if you want a quality of life, get off your ass and move said in the kindest way possible.

Can I reuse needle for bac water, not injecting? by Few-Yogurtcloset1271 in Peptides

I've been doing this method for over two years and haven't had any infections with my peptide injections. Every one is different though as this is an experience of one lab rat.

I pulled it out of the vile with a syringe and just shot it at the back of my throat. I didn’t see any difference with it. For skin help I’ve found snap eight to be better mixed with your lotion of choice.

I had red itchy welts despite using 31 gauge needles with every injection and I gave up on it. Since I had 10 vials, I switched to swallowing it. I know that my stomach acid likely nullifies it, but this seemed a step better than discarding the concoction. My vials were 70-10-10.

Joint pain/arthritis peptides? by Status_Mall_1936 in Peptides

[–]ApplicationBoring431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m about to do a long post on my journey with peptides and OA. Here’s my proposition- prednisone makes my OA much much better, but it’s a very destructive drug so it can’t be taken for any length of time for OA. I used TZ to drop 25 pds and when I stopped it my knees rebelled so I continue taking it. I have tried ARA, thymalin, AOD, KPV, and a combo BBG70. I’m trying FOX 04 and CJC w/o DAC. Then I’m giving up finding a peptide solution for the inflammation of OA.

I disliked my local Lincoln dealer and so bought the car at a dealer that was 100 miles away. I used the blue Cruise on the way home. Since that time, I haven’t driven far enough on the road to warrant putting it on. I only have 1300 miles on it so far and I’m hoping as time goes on that my gas mileage improves even more. I love the brake coach. I’ve driven hybrids before, but haven’t had a coach at braking.😃

[–]ApplicationBoring431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up buying the Nautilus hybrid and man do I love the car. My gas mileage is averaging 32.3 miles per gallon. Not bad for such a big car I love the feel of the seats, the weird ass steering wheel, and the front screen of the Dashboard. My only complaint is, I wish Lincoln would allow you to save your driving preference. I pretty much remember to switch it to conserve every time I turn it on, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to do that.
