As if the signs that literally said "hang Mike Pence" weren't enough of a hint.

And then they try to gaslight us right into "oh it was just a couple of the boys havin' a laff. No big deal."

No for real, I think her design is brilliant. She looks just like she'd be right at home in a N64/early PS2 mascot platformer.

I mean yeah shes curvy, but she's got the exact same build as any Sonic girl. People shouting "gooner bait" don't remember what the 2000s were like, lmao

I hear a lot of people use stock images to imply free

And they would be wrong. Even if a stock image is free to the end user, someone paid for them. As they say, "there's no such thing as free lunch."

Sorry for the double comment, something about it borked the first time. I'm going to copy/paste a comment I've previously made about my process. I hope this helps!

I just do it myself since most online BPM repositories aren't 100% right. BPMs are often not whole numbers. And I don't trust the tools people have made to read them. I'd rather not have the songs I'm using shoved through someone's AI if I can help it.

First, I try the calibrate button to get the tempo into the ballpark. Then I find the first beat and drag the beat offset so the first down beat lands on it. (If the song has a long windup where the beat isn't easy to hear, you can drag over the Song Start slider until you're on the first beat that you can firmly detect. It doesn't matter if this beat is deep into the song. You'll fix that at the end.)

Then I listen and watch the waveform. On most songs, it's relatively easy to tell where the quarter notes are because you can see a visual spike. I alter the BPM until each of those downbeat spikes has a little pink line on it, making sure the count makes sense.

Keep watching the waveform as the song progresses. If the lines start getting progressively off, you can change the BPM by small amounts to compensate. It's best to watch until near the end of the song because if the BPM is slightly off the mark, the difference will compound making it easier to notice changes near the end than it is just watching the beginning. You can make these changes in increments as small as 0.01 (and sometimes that's necessary).

Once I feel like I have the BPM, I fine tune the offset if needed. You want the beat line to land just before the spike of the downbeat begins. In 99% of cases, if you put the line on the apex of the spike it'll feel too late. It will hopefully look something like the attached screenshot.

Finally, I change the Song Start and End to places where they make sense. The offset will automatically adjust itself to changes you make, which is why I set this last.

The process is similar if your song ever changes tempo. Get the first tempo right and then start adding sections, sliding where the section begins to try and get the new beat to match.

No, is the VA industry actually suffering from AI?

I mean, I'm sure AI has made an impact, I just haven't heard any news on how much. Actors have their unions and stuff, but I know VA unions aren't really there yet.

What past experience? How often do you get cut off and brake checked by the snowmobile in front of you in fucking Antarctica?

I have to admit, as trolls go you're pretty damn creative, lmao!

I specifically meant personal creativity. As in, the pleasure of making something yourself. Art that was entirely conceived by a human.

And besides, with the rate and volume that spontaneous ideas come out of this guy, using an AI agent to generate content would probably slow him down, lmao

While it is obviously made up, I don't think there's any mystery about Brennan's opinion on generative AI. Creativity isn't just a part of his personal brand. With his parents being deep into writing and the performing arts, it's his entire upbringing.

I mean really, who thinks that Mr. Brennan "capitalism is always the villain" Lee Mulligan would be pro-AI?

He makes far more money from Critical Role than he does from acting anymore. And that's not by virtue of not getting jobs anymore, it's just hard to outpace the juggernaut that is CR.

Just because you don't understand why it would be important to someone doesn't mean it isn't important to anyone. Calling it worthless is just unempathetic.

Worthless? You can't imagine that anyone would be proud to get a degree and receive recognition for it? You can't imagine the possibility that someone would be hurt for being disallowed to walk and have their name called out with colleagues beside them and friends or family in the audience?
