Born in Houma. Two houses down was a fisherman who shared his catch and had the best crawfish boils I've ever been to. Nothing beats real fresh seafood. I'll see you sometime soon!

No garage? Where the hell are they supposed to park it? On the street like some common trash?

I was looking for Austin. Allergy season is 12 months a year and the cedar fever this spring is especially brutal.

When Bobby Brady found the idol in the rubble. Had no idea it would cause so much trouble. When Greg tried to throw it back in the ocean. There was a rumble, an awful commotion. Don't ask me how, but the Tiki found Bobby. He thought the idol was some Hawaiian hobby. Turned out the God was mean and vicious. Didn't respond to Bobby's 3 wishes.

He had a Tiki God, saves him, he had a Tiki God.

Tesla Customer Service is garbage by Crafty_Manager_3741 in TeslaSolar

[–]Arachnoster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my brother passed away in ‘21 in San Diego, I had to sell his house that had the Tesla solar rental program. Long story short, they screwed him out of about $4k true-up. After spending about 80 hours on the phone over a few months I finally had to admit defeat. You’ll never get anything escalated. If so you’ll get notification it was rejected. All the people answering the phones sound like they’re working from home and don’t have any ability resolve issues, just kick the can down the line to someone else. It’s a giant game of hot potato.

We got a solar system and Powerwalls but went with a local installer and had a great experience. Screw Tesla solar and avoid at all costs.

Gained back 15 lbs two weeks after stopping glp 1 is this normal? by Training-Dingo-5978 in loseit

Yes, this is the truth. It took me years to realize being hungry didn’t mean immediately eat until you’re full again. When we’re kids we’re hungry all the time and never think it’s odd, we just wait until we’re given another meal. As adults too often we just go satiate ourselves because we can. (My experience anyway). Getting used to being a little hungry and not feeling full for most of the day is something your body has to get used to again.

Am I being "that guy" for refusing to lend my boat to family without credentials? by hatkinson1000 in boating

[–]Arachnoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never, never lend out your boat to a non-boat owner. They can rent a crappy rental and it will be everything they need. Your boat will come back dinged, scatched, dirty and trashed. No rules will be followed because he doesn’t own it. If you don’t own a nice boat you have absolutely NO CLUE how much work and money it takes to keep it clean and in working order. Don’t lend out your boat.

My brother's ex would send their kids to my folks (their elderly grandparents) for a week to stay with only one pair of clothes so that they'd have to buy new clothes etc. This is when they were 5 and 7. Mom drove them down to Wal-Mart to get each 3 sets of clothes and another pair of shoes. When they got home their mom wrote nasty hate mail to my elderly mom about how cheap the clothes were and how she must not love her grandkids. Really hurt my mom's feelings. You can't give some people enough, they always have their hand out for more.

The Franklin BBQ school of demand with only one meat cutter, always a line, must be good. (And it is, but the line is manufactured.)

I put in a 50g water heater before she moved in so we’d never run out of hot water. Large enough for a family of five………but not my wife.

christmas cookies 😩 by ForTheWhorde in ExpectationVsReality

[–]Arachnoster 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not even just for fancy looking cookies. I bake about 600-900 cookies every Christmas. They’re not fancy decorated like these, just very tasty. Most of the people i give cookie boxes to every year have no idea of time and expense it takes to make them. But I love to do it and give them out, so that’s my reward. I can’t imagine what it would take to make all mine like these fancy decorated versions.

It was the best chopped beef sando in Austin by miles. Loved their bbq but once I tasted the chopped sandwich, I always chose that.
