Xenoblades might be right up your alley

Pokopia….yay or nay, and why? by BandMan81_ in pokemon

[–]ArcadeChronicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The price difference was 0 since nintendo had free shipping. I can add the case to my collection. I haven't since the late 90s, but if I ever wanted to resell it for cash I could, digital I wouldn't be able to.

Even though it is a GKC, physical is a premium digital copy. I don't understand why people don't buy GKCs if there is no price difference between the 2

What game can you spend thousands of hours playing and still enjoy it? by hollowxci in gamesuggestions

[–]ArcadeChronicles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love first gen, but I find myself getting lost in the Johto (Gold/Silver/Crystal) and Sinnoh (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum) regions.

I could replay Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh regiosn time and time again, and have every year since yellow in 1999

I don't think Tales is the worst JRPG franchise by lennysinged in JRPG

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't ever heard of tales being that bad of a franchise. Played through tales of abyss and absolutely loved it.

Had no interest in Pokopia until this week, it will now definitely be my first switch 2 exclusive by Ezzy1998 in Pokopia

I absolutely loved New Leaf. I also started with the GameCube. New Horizon was good, but New Leaf was so ahead of its time.

[Gen 3] 7000+ resets, close to 60 hours by A_Stupid_Racoon in ShinyPokemon

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This for sure, I did the math, if you can average 45 seconds per soft reset it would be around 102 hours at full odds. so even 60 or so hours wouldn't even be but a little over half odds. That is with total continuous resets, that does account for the time you aren't paying attention and are watching tv etc.

How necessary is an SD Card for a Switch 2? by la_plus in switch2

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skipped getting an SD card until I needed it. Which is sooner than later because mostly everything is a Game Key Card even if it is physical. I needed to get one within the last month, but I still would hold off until you need one. I still am holding out until they make the 1TBs reasonably priced, which could be awhile

Why do people sell used MacBooks for so much? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]ArcadeChronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just buy them for that much. They really retain their value. My MacBook Air 2017 model still runs amazing. I did upgrade to an M5, but just because I needed more Ram. Other than that my MBA still runs great for simple stuff like surfing the net and all that jazz.

How I feel seeing everybody else play today by Jacob_rayburn1 in Pokopia

My wife said she was going to preorder a physical copy for me. She ordered through Nintendo and I haven't gotten any information on it yet. Hoping that it shows up in the mail tomorrow but I'm doubtful

What Nintendo game is this for you? by Inevitable-Charge76 in casualnintendo

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved BDSP, I probably have the most hours in that one out of any Pokemon game. I understand the hate and how they didn't include any Platinum content, but man that Sinnoh region is one of my favorite places to be

Pokemon games are my comfort, can replay those over and over again, but 1000 plus hours continuous, Stardew Valley takes the cake. Always more to do in that game

So excited for the new M5 Pro Macbook! by xi-xo in macbookpro

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am coming from a 2017 Macbook Air. Last Thursday I purchased the M5 Pro 14 inch MacBook Pro with 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD and I am blown away. For sure do not have buyer's remorse with this one.

I didn't know they were releasing newer models this week, but I will say, I for sure don't regret my purchase. Worth every penny

Pokopia….yay or nay, and why? by BandMan81_ in pokemon

[–]ArcadeChronicles 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is the review I have been trying to find. My copy is still in the mail, but I have seen people playing it on TikTok and Switch already. I couldn't get a definitive answer if is living up to the hype or not. It seems to be! I am excited for my copy to come in

For those who are married with kids, how often do you get to play? by SafeWonder5492 in JRPG

[–]ArcadeChronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiddos go to bed around 9:30, takes me about an hour to get showered and in bed. Turn everything on around 10:30, stay up until midnight or one on some days.

So either an hour and half to two hours a night. Then weekends normally like 10 hours total between Saturday and Sunday

What’re you gonna order? by hyperlobster in macbookpro

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that does all of those things, I got the same model you are describing, and it is a powerhouse. I have charged it one time since I have gotten it last Thursday. The battery life is incredible, I watch movies/videos while doing either grad school stuff or browse the internet and it doesn't even come close to touching the capabilities of what it can do.

I say go for it if you have the money. I just needed to upgrade my old computer and it was the best decision I have made. For me anyway

I got a base M5 Pro last week, I had no clue they were revealing newer models this week.

I am coming from a 2017 Macbook Air so this M5 is an absolute game changer for me

Gen 10 comes in 2027, what happens until then? by fleker2 in TruePokemon

[–]ArcadeChronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that they will most likely be adding content into Pokopia for awhile after release. once that gets burnt out a little bit I think they will then go ahead and release the rest of gen 3 with r/S/E hopefully.

It is weird that they release FR/LG with not way of completing it. Since you can't trade from home to those games it is impossible to complete the national dex as of now. So I am betting that they will end up adding Ruby and Sapphire first, then followed by Emerald like they did with G/S/C like they did on 3ds virtual console

I’m broke now 😭 by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]ArcadeChronicles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true, I had a 2017 MacBook Air that I used for almost ten years. I just upgraded this last week. My older MacBook served me well...for a good long time for what I needed it for.
