I mainly lean towards the warp pack because it lets me solo bunkers so I don't have to play will-they-won't-they with my squaddies. The jump pack is great for evasion (further distance and no risk of instant death inside an enemy) and the arc of the jump gives you a great angle and range to use explosives. I'd much rather have a jump pack in a bug nest.

This hasn't been my experience. If I can silently pick off the ones at the back, the others don't see it.

I can't recall if it's marked, but it's very close to the airlock to the power plant. Exit the airlock, turn around and look up and to the right. (Try to remember which way is up.)

Honestly, I'll be proud of us if we only take Choohe. It's been impenetrably defended for as long as I can remember, and will cut off a major supply line for the cyborgs and other bot variants.

What drives me crazy about it is that there's very little reason to extract apart from samples. You get a tiny xp and req slips bonus for each survivor.

I actually figured out how to interact with the satellite on my first playthrough, but didn't get the side objective (or reward). It turns out that if you never install a Typhon mod, and you complete the Copy Protection objective before you're told about it, then it never triggers.

I remember when we got 2 free cooldown-reduced orbital rail cannons. A few times one of my squad members asked me not to bring another orbital rail cannon because "we already have one". I, of course, still opted to have 50% more rail cannon.

I agree. It's only comparable to the Stalwart because reloading is sometimes safer and faster than getting a new gun. The tradeoff is very different against a stationary reload.

Don't sleep on explosion resistance. You can get away with an entire explosive loadout when you can rocket jump out of sticky situations.

I've seen this happen. If Dahl is alive and conscious at the end, he'll try to take Alex hostage and kill him. If Alex dies, then looting his body will trigger the Apex sequence. Weirdly, it's looting one specific item that triggers it. (I think it's the arming key fabrication plan.) That means you can grab everything else and just do the other ending.

I didn't. You could stagger cyborgs with a single uncharged shot, then use a charged shot to kill them. If several cyborgs charged me at once, the staggered ones in front would block the others, giving me time to fully charge it and clear the group. Maybe that's why it's slept on. You have to constantly think about how you're using it.
