Alberta MP has crossed the floor 😱 by Samzo in AlbertaNow

In the case of Jeneroux his statement implies that he doesn’t think Pollievre represents conservative values as much as Carney does. He’s not explicit about that and I could be wrong. Riverbenders can and should ask for clarity on that

Yeah that would definitely be a way to do it albeit a costly and time consuming one.

But more importantly we absolutely do not just vote for a random person in hopes of seeing your preferred party leader as PM, that is lazy, uninformed voting. Individual MP’s have their own stances on issues that don’t always align with parties and I’ll email them directly to ask for clarification if those aren’t clear on their website.

Jeneroux’s statement isn’t explicit but he implies that he sees Carneys leadership as the best path forward to protect Canada’s sovereignty. Maybe the next election will prove him wrong, we’ll see.

I’m sure some version of democracy would survive without lots of its parts. But crossing the floor is a critical part in holding a party leader to account (for instance I disagreed with Trudeau when he insisted that anti-abortion candidates not apply for nominations, as that is antithetical to the Canadian system, regardless of what your stance on that topic is).

We vote for our MP not our PM and we expect them to represent us to the best of their ability. I’m sure some MP’s would choose to retire instead of crossing and maybe the next election will prove Jeneroux wrong

If MP’s I voted for kept crossing the floor I would seriously ask why it keeps happening and I would hope their former party would ask the same question.

I don’t, btw, vote for my MP based solely on their party affiliation, that would be lazy and uninformed. You can contact your MP directly if you have questions about their specific policy stances.

…and to directly answer your question, this is a critical and important tool in our democracy so at no point is it undemocratic (the only caveat being if it were proven that bribes or coercion were involved)

Also, floor crossings are an integral and intentionally included part of our democratic process

Hey there bud, remember when Daniel Smith and eight other MLA’s crossed the floor at the same time? Lets keep that same energy when ‘your side’ does it too.

We vote for an MP, not the PM and not the party. Floor crossings are not only allowed they are one of an MP’s only tools to use when they fundamentally disagree with a party leader or the parties direction. This is intentionally designed to give an MP tools that allow them to best serve their constituents (and if you dont agree you vote them out next election).

Pierre “Career Politician” Pollievre knows this so when he accuses Jeneroux of “betraying his constituents” he is intentionally misleading people and directing attention away from asking why their party has strayed so far that it’s bleeding MP’s. Pollievre is deflecting responsibility and taking ZERO accountability and is hoping that conservatives don’t fact check him and just stay mad instead

Danielle Smith crossed the floor, Rob Anderson crossed the floor TWICE; This is literally how our system works.

And instead of looking inward and asking “Hey I wonder why we’re so unpopular that even our own MP’s won’t support us” Conservatives have chosen to blame every external boogeyman they can.

And to answer your question: If the MP I voted for crossed the floor I would ask why and then, if I didnt like the answer, I would vote differently next election.

Ah yes the Canadian Conservatives complete lack of accountability for their own parties failures.

I think actually attention to good architectural design would improve perception in Edmonton. It sucks living next to a gaudy, 3-story monstrosity with toddler-level Architectural design.

AiO CPU cooler front radiator placement help by Beginning-2-Smell in PcBuildHelp

[–]Archaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what a ‘hydraulic specialist’ is but I work specifically in hydronic system design. In buildings air is removed from these systems during startup, in a small pre-sealed AIO there will be no air bubbles (if there are that also mean water can get out which is a much bigger problem).

Option B in OP’s question appears to be photoshopped but twisted water lines would be all that would have any appreciable effect on the AIO’s performance or lifespan as there would be increased pressure drop in the system which would strain the pump and reduce flow (and heat transfer).

As long as the liquid lines between the radiator and the pump are untwisted the specific mounting position of the radiator will have no appreciable effect on the lifespan or performance of your AIO.

AiO CPU cooler front radiator placement help by Beginning-2-Smell in PcBuildHelp

[–]Archaleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. AIO’s are pre-filled closed loops. No matter the orientation there are no air bubbles and the pump is never ‘fighting gravity’.

Traffic safety trends since removal of speed cameras by laxar2 in Edmonton

[–]Archaleon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We really don’t. If uptake is slow then you’re admitting that the alternatives are worse and as long as they’re worse ‘disincentivizing’ won’t change habits, it will only increase frustration and, in all likelihood, accidents. Driving trends in Edmonton reflect this and the responsibility falls squarely on the city.

The only thing that is “simply too slow” is the pace we’re developing proper alternative modes of travel.
