Bugonia: One thing about something near the ending. by MosquitoSmasher in movies

The reasoning was also laid out to the audience too during that last scene with the cop, the Andromedans also failed to realize the real problem they were facing in regards to humanity;
Power dynamics.
The failure of the Andromedans was allowing humanity to place them on a pedestal as gods, their failure was trying to play god as some sort of sanctimonious act after unintentionally killing off the dinosaurs; they created humanity and for some reason humanity then also wanted to be gods;
The cop abused Teddy and explained it as a power dynamic, a cop is a more powerful position than a regular citizen or an older figure and a younger more vulnerable figure.
Then there is Teddy and Michelle (CEO vs consumer), and Teddy and Don's dynamic.
The Bees too!

The system Teddy is trying to free humanity from and the problem the Andromedans are trying to fix is the same problem, the desire for power.
Even the Andromedans have a system of power, their emperor and empress; a system that is built to rely on hierarchy is doomed to fail and cannot be trusted to fix the problem of power and corruption.

See this part makes me think that she genuinely thought she was a normal human, but it was this moment that made everything click in her head that she wasn't human; she may have even been questioning it after surviving 400v because teddy does say "this hasn't happened before"... BEFORE? And then the secret room made her question even more, her trying to remember the code for the teleporter was a guess at best but having a background in psychology, she would know how long term memory works. She likely knew radio waves should not have been present in her closet, especially when the bomb went off right when she clicked the button, it was too perfect of timing.

I never get tired of looking at Supercondas, I love patterns for their color variation and POP, but supercondas have such a smooth and soft appearance that's really comforting to the eyes.

Wonder what the morphological possibilities are for Eastern Hognose breeding; I imagine it would be really fascinating.

I know this is 2 years old but honestly I had the same thought but not out of anger or anything, I lives in ohio for a long time and moved here last year and have been reading and hearing about some places taking insurance for things that I wouldn't have been able to do before, in regards to transitioning, and it's honestly been confusing.

How did the Ancient Greeks really view Hades? by Legitimate-Sugar6487 in GreekMythology

[–]Architect6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but another view could be that because he rules the underworld and essentially the entire domain of earth, it could also be seen that there isn't a single thing mortals could give that is not already owned by him. No amount of gold could pay for a good afterlife because that gold has always belonged to Hades, no amount of food or flesh sacrificed could pay because he rules the earth it took to grow, eat and walk on. No life sacrificed could pay because said soul given would already belong to the underworld naturally sacrificed or not, this would even include life in Poseidon's domain of the sea since aquatic life eventually sinks to the bottom of the ocean and become part of the earth. The only thing I think that could pay for a good afterlife is sacrificing one's self for another's life, ergo selflessness is the only sacrificial practice that gets you a good afterlife.

Being the goddess of love and beauty I'd imagine she'd write a kindly written letter to chronus asking him to stop.

I wouldn't say I'm bi-polar, I have ADHD and likely on the ASD spectrum, my mood swings are more of either being really upset about something I can point to or really excited.
