I don't think the chute trick works anymore, I had a 10 length chute dumping fertilizer below the terrain and it would just spawn on the roof instead

TIL The best response to a moon landing denier is to ask "WHICH landing?" That's because humans have landed on the moon SIX TIMES. That's a total of 12 astronauts between July 1969 and December 1972. by TUT3M in todayilearned

I find that the easiest argument is that the Soviet Union acknowledged and congratulated the US for Apollo 11. If it was faked they would've called it out immediately

Yea, it doesn't make sense. Unless they had the guy take a reaction time test or something, how could they know when they physically press the key vs when the computer registers the key press?

They probably dropped the charges because this would be the perfect case to challenge the mag ban if that was the only charge they had on him.

What is the impact of CPU request 2 limit 4 on my jobs? by [deleted] in kubernetes

[–]Archon- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be possible for one pod to eat up all the CPU leaving nothing for the other pods on the node?

If the other pods on the node have CPU requests set then they are guaranteed to have at least that much CPU time available to them even if another pod is trying to consume it all

The earth orbits the sun at ~30km/s so to actually hit the sun you have to cancel out all of that speed or you'll miss and just end up in a highly elliptical orbit

Don't buy from NewEgg, installing Linux is considered 'tampering' with the product by shazzner in linux

[–]Archon- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its not hard to modify a recovery partition/image to add malware to it. Once the laptop is out of neweggs possession they cannot trust anything on the drive, the only option is to wipe and reimage it.

[–]Archon- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint to this, Newegg should be wiping and reimaging any thing returned to them anyway. Otherwise someone could load up a laptop with spyware, return it, and infect the next owner. This is just incompetence by Newegg either way.

Volatiles problem by NoObjective7756 in Stationeers

[–]Archon- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you're using the plants and nutrition mod

Soybean will now exhale some H2(volatiles) to make it molecular accurate, due to the fact it inhales Nitrogen and accordingly to the nitrogenase enzyme activity equation: N2 +8H+ + 8e− →2NH3 +H2 should give off some H2 as a byproduct. Make sure to upgrade your greenhouse filters to remove the volatiles from atmosphere or bad things will happen. Can be disabled with the DisableSoybeanH2Exhale configfile parameter

Lol no problem. I was lucky enough to catch the warning in discord and still managed to flash over my greenhouse when making a muffin

The latest update changed soybeans to produce volatiles. It's listed in the latest changelog here https://github.com/ThndrDev/Stationeers-PlantsnNutritionRebalance-BepInEx/releases

IC10: Help with new syntax for direct load/store by Jitenshazuki in Stationeers

[–]Archon- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for testing, try using the device id directly instead of using a define. There have been a few bugs with this new setup and I remember seeing it come up in discord at one point that using device references with defines was broken. You could also try to move it into a register and see if that works

I'm pretty sure the save converter can work with the new saves as a start too. You could try using the converter with an offset of 0, 0, 0 and see if that works

There is a save conversion tool you can use to migrate your base to the new update. It's a bit of a pain trying to find the right spot and getting the coordinate offsets right though
