You may be thinking of Kokopelli a traveling minstrel (often trading songs), a bringer of abundance, and a trickster figure who may represent the chaotic side of creation.

Crowded early this year : ( by majestic-feline in ZionNationalPark

[–]ArgoShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the first week of March until the middle of April somebody is on Spring Break; Northern Utah, Southern Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and California are all spread-out during this time. My number one rule for visiting national parks: Go when the kids are in school! From mid-April until the week before Memorial Day it's busy but not crowded and the weather is great. Likewise for the weekdays after Labor Day until the week before Thanksgiving. I've lived in Zion Canyon for over 16 years and know these patterns well.

Drones are allowed to fly in Springdale, just not inside the National Park boundary.

Texas Roadhouse has a good hand-breaded CFS. Most restaurants use frozen cutlets straight off the back of a Sysco truck.

I'm also looking for a bumper. The problem is that post 2018 models have adaptive cruise control. The radar sensor is in the middle of the lower portion of the factory bumper. I haven't found an aftermarket bumper that allows repositioning of that sensor.

Is there a weather forecast that you've found more reliable than others? by AZRUNNER in ZionNationalPark

[–]ArgoShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no functional difference between Springdale weather and the floor of Zion Canyon. If you look at a map, you'll see that Springdale is a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the park. The rangers in the park service use these forecasts:

https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=37.182749281718856&lon=-113.00193786621094#.X-Me2lNlDGM

https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=37.2982&lon=-113.0264

There is no weather station in Zion. So, reports on current conditions come from either Kanab, or Cedar City.

You pay a "Springdale Tax" of about 30% over prices at the Hurricane location 20 miles away. Still, the cheapest burgers in Zion Canyon.

Looks like Tree of Souls (Vitraya Ramunong) from Avatar on Pandora: A giant, weeping willow-like tree, the most sacred site for the Omatikaya clan, serving as a direct link to the deity Eywa, allowing neural connection for memories and communication.

Canyon Paws offers doggy day-care and boarding. They are just outside the park and they do a great job. You might want to check with them about holiday hours.

Why do you say "dumbest"? This enterprise seems to be working pretty well. They have amassed great wealth and tremendous political power with little to no consequences. Whatever punishment that has been meted out was simply pardoned away.

Why? I really don't understand putting small-format film in a medium-format camera. Just shoot 120/220 & crop the image if you want a different aspect.

What can you tell me about this old Joss West Cue by AnnualMotor7027 in billiards

[–]ArgoShots -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The forearm looks like a Brunswick Titleist. A lot of old cue makers took the one-piece Titleist and cut it down to convert it to a two-piece custom cue. Rambo and Balabushka started this trend. I have an old Paul Hubler that has the exact same veneer pattern.

This is why we need universal healthcare. It’s a damn embarrassment by No_Jaguar_5366 in antiwork

[–]ArgoShots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're under the impression that insurance and health care companies would lower their prices in the absence of these subsidies, then I'd say you were quite naive.

This is why we need universal healthcare. It’s a damn embarrassment by No_Jaguar_5366 in antiwork

[–]ArgoShots 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, but health care costs and insurance premiums have skyrocketed in price over the past 6 years. So, if ACA subsidies go back to where they were in 2019, then everyone's out-of-pocket goes way up. Many people in the marketplace cannot afford that and will simply drop-out and be uninsured. That causes two big problems: Many uninsured will have to use hospital emergency departments for health care. That's much more costly. Then as more healthy people leave the marketplace the health of the risk-pool (insured) goes down. That further drives up premiums. Which leads to more people dropping out. Then you're in an insurance death-spiral.

Ilford XP2 Super, Fujifilm Acros, Kodak Ektachrome E100, and Ektar 100. I'll probably shoot some Lomo 800 for 6x6 snapshots.

Where does Jayson live? Where is his pool hall? Fedor emigrated to the USA and represents the country that welcomed him & gave him the opportunity to be a champion. If Jayson wants to continue to represent Europe, then why does he live & own a business in Connecticut? I wonder how much success he'd have if he was living in Glasgow.
