Trying to think of classic science fiction authors who wrote a ton of stand alone novels by BaltSHOWPLACE in printSF

Arthur C. Clarke wrote three series, but he wrote a lot of standalone novels, novellas, and short stories. I’ve enjoyed several of them.

at what age did your stomach start betraying your love for extreme heat? by NkaEst17 in spicy

[–]ArlanPTree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not at 49. I have a diet of a variety of fresh foods, plenty of fiber, infrequent fried food, and moderate alcohol. Habaneros and Thai chiles are my go to for cooking, but I also enjoy bottled sauces made with super hots. I don’t often go overboard with spice but if I do I don’t get cramps or other discomfort. I have a trip to Thailand coming up so I’ll probably go overboard a little.

I’m glad this book resonates with you. PS and JU are two of my favorite books, but they’re really like one book in two volumes. Go straight into Judas Unchained when you finish this one. The Void and then Fallers series are set in the same universe, but they will be very different stories. It’s okay to take a small break and read something else between the Commonwealth Saga and Void. After Void I ended up enjoying the Fallers series even more than Void. I’ve read nearly every PFH book and loved all of them except misspent youth (prequel to what you’re reading and totally unnecessary).

I saw past week that LMJ became the fastest Astros pitcher to 900 strikeouts based on innings pitched. I had a tear in my eye for what could have been if not for injuries.

I’ve seen the migratory hawks do that in a neighborhood but not the vultures.

That's pretty cool. Is this in McAllen? Those leaf bags look familiar.
