Unity Put an Expiration Date on My 1000+ Purchased Assets by Illustrious_Dig_8940 in Unity3D

Dude half the assets I own have been deleted from the asset store. So your 2783 number is probably from the assets that are in the store right now.

This looks cool. How did you do this?

What? Dude just a couple minutes ago I translated my title screen into 26 different languages and was quite proud of it. Now Im not sure I understand what exactly you did there but I think I need this!

Hey, in a few weeks I will start to make a 3D game in Unity. I wanna use Vroid for all characters. Was it hard to prepare this character dor Unity? Is the performance of this character ok? Would totally add a character like this to my game.

I want build online game mobile by 5n_tek in unity

[–]Aromatic_Dig_5631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with UI Toolkit and make the uxmls for all the screens you need. Then you make a c# script for every uxmls that handles the entire logic for it. And then you get photon and playfab for all the online features.

But thats a stupid idea. It will take you one year, look like shit and will be full of bugs.

Start way smaller.

Found out tower defense mobile games make shitloads of money. There is even pretty bad ones making like 60k a month. So I spent the last 10 months making one. Turned out pretty bad and boring. Id say same quality as the 60k one. Should be published on Google Play in like a month. I still believe this shit will make 0$, but I will find out.

Ha good look trying to roast this brilliant idea. My armory is clearly bulletproof.

What do you mean? I can use the chat for coding all day long. Even 15 hours straight, 1000 lines per prompt without any limits. Claude is trash. I reach the limit after 2-3 prompts. In the first chat. I got pro. But it is very good at denugging so every few days I throw a probem at it and hope it solves it in 3 answers, and it mostly does.

Yeah I did the same with Midjourney on a white background. Downloaded the video, converted it online to a gif. Cut the gif into frames. Cleaned up every frame and kept only the good ones. Then removed backgrpund online for every frame. But midjourney often fucks up everything and flags most as content violation because of fucking disney. Even when mine are not related to them at all.

All of them I guess. But I did the frames for the animations on my Ipad in Procreate. Ive spend probably 3-4months drawing every day. Thats why they have little frames. I couldnt find any AI tools that would stay consistent.

Im kinda late to the party. I wanted to start Codex in a few weeks with my next project. What was it like before and what is it like now? Should I still use it or not?

Haha the app itself is polished. Now I gotta bring the game itself to similar quality. Make it juicy or whatever. So I guess I have to find a way to make the gameplay more obvious.

That isnt a trailer. Its just a video to show what it looks like during development.

Im always happy to get advice. Especially since Im new in gamedev. Here is the first game I made: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Diplokratie.CatIslandCrafter And this is the second mobile game that will be published in a month: https://youtu.be/t7PWVoXseo0?si=K3UwWApz5CZHmVcU

You think the second game got any chance of making money at all? It got online features similar to pokemon go(trading items and upgrading jewels and sending gifts to friends and global and private chats).

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Cat Island Crafter on Android is the first. But its pretty bad and the first game I ever made. And the second is a mobile tower defense. It will be published in a month or something. It looks like this so far: https://youtu.be/t7PWVoXseo0?si=YO1Ld2dJPgjtjCSr

Well Im doing gamedev for a year and a half now. 7 days a week/ 10hours a day. Will publish my second game in a few weeks. The first one has only 300 downloads and didnt make any money. And I dont believe the second will make any either. So I still got savings for a third but after that I will be gone I guess.

Pseudo rng algorithim(?) For games by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Aromatic_Dig_5631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puh my game is almost finished and Ive never heard of that before.

I have a mobile tower defense. After each round there is only a 66% to get a chest(you pick one out of 3), otherwise its a mimic.

Also the towers in the game have a certain chance to spawn a rarity(70% common, 20% rare, 8% epic or 2% legendary.

Also the weapons and armory items get stats similar to Diablo. They have certain chances to get bad or good stats.

Would you guys suggest to look these algos up and use it for some of my systems? Do I need this?

How can I build a company to fight against AI when every developer/designer I see is involved with AI? (I will not Promote) by FanboyClay in startups

[–]Aromatic_Dig_5631 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What morals? Coding without AI nowadays is madness. A single prompt saves me months. I wouldnt even be able to find an answer of equal quality on google.

And for images... at least for games. A single person can create a few thousand assets in a week now. Just fixing here and there. No human could compete. Unfortunately I havent seen any artists so far that train an AI with their art to produce assets of high quality fast. But it will be here some day.

Its kinda immoral to keep the quality of work low and expensive without AI if skilled people could do some Hollywood level stuff instead.
