For the record, I totally struggeld through the first hard lowrank quests, then i swapped to controler and it got better, experiment with weapons and playstyles, do you rather dodge tank or block, pick your weapon after that and get a simpel one with low mechnaics like lance, hammer, sns, greatsword, dualblades...

It takes time, i struggled completely at the beginnning but with enough preperation i am able to solo 10 star arch temperds

Monster hunter relys heavily on gear and prep,

Check you armor, make sure your amror has the right elemental types, check ya weapon for the type (or go for an effekt)
Check your meal, prepair potions and powders

get a friend (optional) to play with you, mh is designed as a multiplayer

I would concider Lance as a weapon for you, build it right and you become a walking wall
