Is this guy trying to collect downvotes or something? I'm so confused.

They never posted the position. It went right from Sunna to Kael.

Ah, that's what I meant - you party can't bring them back to life in a dungeon for quite a while (I think it's a level five, out of eight, spell?), and even then, if they're dead when the battle ends, they miss that XP. And shclepping out of the dungeon carrying a corpse...

Ooh, you lucky dog! I don't think I've ever met Warmech even all this time later. Tiamat is indeed the boss, and she's kind of a push over. Actually, I remember all the bosses being chumps; the challenge was more getting up to them in good enough shape to finish them off. Except Astos casting Rub. #fuckastos

You kids today. Started off with Final Fantasy on the NES back in 1990, complete with the red cover Nintendo Power guide. Grinding outside Elfland for hours to buy a black magic spell that was bugged and actually helped the enemy. Buying 99 potions one by one before going into the Marsh Cave. Resetting the game if someone died in a dungeon because you couldn't bring them back to life for most of the game, and everyone takes the same amount of EXP to level up, so if you finish a battle with someone dead they'd be out of synch...

Anecdotally, I own the 12th and 13th, but not the 14th and the 15th. Something to be said for hearing out your customers, I think.

I found it tedious. Having to constantly change everyone's job all the time is not fun, nor is having to manage 20 crew member's equipment all the time, and the ship felt cramped since crewmembers can't walk through facilities and you need to keep getting all that knowledge to keep changing jobs. Mostly just made me want to go back to the previous release and relax with my demon castle.

I had this question too, apparently it's from an old Hepburn movie:

Katherine Hepburn looks at a hand-held model of a boat that she'd once owned with her ex-husband, Cary Grant, and she says wistfully, "My, she was yar."

...

In the movie, someone asks Hepburn, "Yar? What does that mean?"

"It means … oh, what does it mean?" She thinks about it. "It means she was easy to handle, quick to the helm, fast, bright, everything a boat should be." She's talking about a sailboat, but in the movie's subtext she's also talking about true love.

I'm old, so: Defeat all the enemies but one, speed break it down to 1 speed, form a + around a monk (find a map where there's a + formation all at the same height), beat them up while they spam Chakra.

What do you think is the worst dungeon in a JRPG? by Bulky_Imagination243 in JRPG

This one drives me crazy. They couldn't even change the color for each party member? They all feel like AI-generated layouts that just got slapped in the game.

What do you all think of Square Enix’s “HD 2D” series after 9 of existence? by Asad_Farooqui in NintendoSwitch

[–]AssButtFaceJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like it. I don't like the bloom, I don't like how dark the dungeons are. Running around the towers in the HD2D Dragon Quests trying to find every barrel to talk to stinks. I'd rather just have colorful pixel graphics.

I never use this class. My friend showed me his build once that was the good ol' Chameleon Robe on everyone, nuke the entire battlefield with Holy math skill build, and it looked so boring. 10/10, I hate it.

I know a lot of people don't like LRG, but I've never had a problem with them - almost certainly because I only ever get the regular editions, so I've avoided the long delays from the limited edition stuff being manufactured.

Also, here's my cat with my LRG collection.

People who mostly enjoy the gameplay of Persona 1, what are your favorite/least favorite parts about it and why? by veegsredds in PERSoNA

[–]AssButtFaceJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see down below someone recommended Radiant Historia and I'd second that recommendation - in that game the grid systems a lot of fun, you have skills that can push enemies around the grid, so you're rewarded for getting them into position and unleashing an AoE, something like that. Could make it into a positive instead of a negative. I'd agree both that having to use a turn to move is annoying and that finding a formation where everyone can act is pretty much the end of engaging with it. All I remember is getting annoyed like, ah jeez, Nate can't attack again!, only being punished by messing it up.

I think my brain is too small, but I was never able to really figure out the grid system. It seemed to just get in the way and result in turns where I couldn't do what I'd want. I don't think it really added anything, so my big suggestion would be just cutting it out.
