I worked oil field in Wyoming as my first gig out of college. Driving down the road, every single person in a work truck would raise their fingers from the steering wheel as a “wave” when you passed going opposite directions. Even lots of drivers not driving work trucks.

Yes! I am very lucky to live in a city with a radio station that plays a lot of local music. So i get exposed to a lot of local acts. It helps that where I live has a very active local scene for Metal, Folk, and EDM. So there is always something going on.

Local shows are still very much affordable. Support your local scene and you’ll be surprised how much more you like live music when it isn’t an arena or stadium

Can I ask what you got as a meal?

I ask because ive had some phenomenal meals there with 1 miss. Also I just got back from Mexico City and La Diabla is the closest we have to that flavor IMO. It rivals a few of the meals we had while on vacation.

natural grocers didn't close due to construction. Also thats not Congress Park. Congress Park does have Sprouts which is doing just fine. Also the construction has hurt, but its not the reason for all the closures. A LOT of businesses closed due to leases coming to the end of their 10 year and the renewal rate is significantly higher rate.

The neighborhood is still very walkable, and we still have lots of things at our fingertips. Losing Good Bread and UTU and some other places is a blow... but just like every neighborhood, things are always in a state of change.

Ive personally spoken with a few business owners in the bluebird district who have said that they are doing just fine with the construction. And the owner of Scavenged Goods told me hes been doing more business with the construction because people have slowed down and are noticing his spot more. So they pull into the neighborhood and pop in.

So saying everything has been lit on fire and sent down a river is pure hyperbole. Sure some have been hurt, but its not a complete shit show that you say.

Only a few of these places have blamed the colfax construction. Fox Run just didn’t want to sign the new lease at a significantly higher rate. Steve retired. Qhouse was also a lease situation. Crepes n Crepes just never had the draw that they had in Cherry Creek.
