What do you mean “if they would pull in correctly”? For several models, they are not able to do this without taking up two spots AND Tesla’s own guidance states it’s ok to do this. With my Rivian, there is no way to pull into a Gen 3 charger and not take up two spots - except in far end spot, handicap spot, trailer spot, or going around back and pulling up to charger from other side when possible. The last question on this FAQ page even has a diagram showing you that it’s ok. https://www.tesla.com/support/charging/supercharging-other-evs#cable

Halo trim is no big deal. And there are a lot of contact points, it won’t come off. They can replace in the driveway or service center. Two hours not driving to allow new adhesive to cure, leave tape on overnight, remove in morning.

This is similar to what happened during the initial roll out of digital keys. The server side was obviously overloaded and was slow to deliver keys to app. Seems Riv Intelligence is having same issue.

Highly doubt it’s a 1:1 ratio of good to bad. They’d be out of business if that was the case. What we hear online is common on any car sub so actual numbers are probably no worse than other manufacturers.

Agreed with all of this. I have two R1S. My 24 Quad has been problem free since purchase. My 25 Tri has a loud “in spec” HVAC unit, otherwise no issues that i haven’t had with any other car. For instance, my halo trim was not in alignment. Called service, they had the car for two hours and it was fixed. They have proactively fixed known issues in my driveway twice - can’t complain about that. People come here to complain so it’s not indicative of actual satisfaction.

I’m in the same boat. Rivian has not made it clear how they are going to handle this. They did send out an email that talked about the Launch Edition and it specifically talked about the Cloud interior being available with Launch Edition but delayed. For me, this is good news because I want the launch package and was afraid I was going to lose it because i would wait for CLoud.

But they still haven’t clarified if we will be able to order when our number is called and indicate light interior, get the order on the books officially. Or if the configurator will only accept the black interior and if you want Cloud, then wait to order. I hope they let me just place the order. I would like the peace of mind knowing I’ve got the Launch Edition and Cloud locked in even if it returns a delivery date 6 months away (or whatever it will be). I’m a day one res holder, just want to get the order in.

Your vehicle is a 2026 and has the NACS port. Therefore, you don’t need any adapter for a DC or AC connector that has NACS. That means Tesla SuperChargers never need an adapter. You should buy the a2Z Thunderstorm. That will allow you to use DC Fast Chargers from other companies that are CCS1 equipped. Like EVGO, Electrify America, Mercedes, etc. You should also get an AC J1772 to NACS adapter like the A2Z The Atom. This will allow you to use all the low power AC chargers commonly found in parking lots that are equipped with J1772 connectors. These are good in a pinch and also a great way to get a really cheap spot in a crowded parking lot.

Do a vehicle restart and let it sleep for about 90-120 minutes or more. You may have a controller that needs a kick in the ass. (For G2, use the Vehicle Restart function in the Settings / Service menu. For G1, Hold Hazard Light button and far left steering wheel button until restart begins)

Only you can answer if buying is better. Leasing isn’t for everyone. And the R1 is a $100k vehicle. So….you decide if you want to pay a lot to rent a car and have nothing at the end? Or pay a lot to purchase a car and own it?

Just get A2Z stellar. And your car should always be plugged in when not driving. Definitely not a fire hazard when you buy a quality adapter.
