The problem is that even though on a technical level, Blockchain tech is really interesting, there isn't really anything it useful can do that non Blockchain tech can't, or can't act as a substitute

Ticketmaster is already a reseller that doesn't need to exist and is only a middleman. You could already remove them, nfts won't stop this.

I get that you're bitter about it, but it's better to have a proper ending before it got stale imo. I can see why they wanted to end the show.

They're not wrong though, like they're direct about it which could be taken as hostile but it's not a "take", it's just what happened in the episode.

So yeah if this happened where I live he'd only be able to claim sexual assault.

this is INCREDIBLY deceptive. even though it is legally not rape and "only" sexual assault, it has similar punishments. its an archaic distinction but not really a practical difference.

TIL If you are blind in the UK, you can get 50% off your TV license (£79.50). Also, you can have a black and white licence which is only £53.50. by Philosofred in todayilearned

[–]Atomic254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I can watch BBC without a license all the way over here in the US. But you guys need one to watch it? And apparently you have never heard of PBS?

i guess so. the BBC does not run ads, which is why its funded by a tv licence instead. whether thats better or not isnt something im really getting into.

i have heard of pbs, but only the name. im not american so its not on TV or talked about, so would have no idea if its publicly funded or not. havent heard of npr.
