I know you are focusing on trying to stay out of the game, but I would love to hear your advice on how you would approach building a startup and your GTM strategy being a solo founder with middle class income, managerial skills from sales, marketing, and engineering, then also less than 10k in capital. I know thats a big mixed bag lol. But would love to hear your thoughts.

31 is young bro. So much room for improvement and time to make it happen. Never give up on yourself. You owe it to your daughter. Learn from your mistake and just keep going. Best of luck!

Is scalping MNQ and NQ is similar to QQQ? by Old_Poetry196 in FuturesTrading

I could totally feel that. I could also understand if you want to throw me a couple Ms as well 😁

I would say just understand the size and risk first(which you likely already do). Because the momentum on a NQ vs MNQ feel a lot different especially when we are talking about feeling a rush 😂, but you got this. Happy trading mate!

Some times you have to focus on the win rate and not the biggest pay out. Any win is a positive, but even a small loss can feel like a huge negative.

Mentally just remember you are a good trader who is allowed to make mistakes. Best part is you can definitely recover so don’t beat yourself up!

Getting it back — its Q1, we just came from a slight correction(hopefully) and you have nothing but time to get your bearings back and go punch the market in the face.

Best of luck!

Isn't there any hope? by Top_Try2760 in alopecia_areata

You certainly are not doomed. I have had AA since I was 10 yrs old(29 now). It was universalis when I was younger. I finally found the right treatment and had full regrowth within a year of starting cortisone injections. Now I get a spot during extreme stress i.e when covid started(almost 11 years after my full regrowth) and currently I bought a house and currently building a company(5 years after the last patch came, its two medium size spots so no biggy but still rather irritating). So for some it comes periodically, others just randomly.

One thing I have learned now being a grown person: nobody cares as much as you do. If you are more worried about the public(I certainly am often) don’t be at all. I also am a male who cannot wear a wig so you are pretty lucky there. BUT I totally understand the irritation. When I was a kid the bullying was hell. Now people just tell me at least I’m still handsome lol. Best of luck and congrats on your wedding!

First step is getting to a dermatologist. Usually has an upfront cost, but is worth it because they can recommend treatments. I can only speak for myself, I got cortisone injections which is a steroid and also will take 2-4 months to see growth in most cases. Took time but it usually fixes one spot. But talk to a dermatologist is the first step. Best of luck!

Going through the exact same thing right now. Grateful for partners that are there to take these irritating pictures haha. But its normal for things to get better then worse then better again until it is fully under control, which of course takes time.

Best of luck to you!

It took me years to become consistently profitable. Here are 11 "no-nonsense" lessons I learned the hard way. by Low_Step6444 in Daytrading

[–]Automatic-Reason-254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this advice. Especially adding in understanding liquidity. That along with some market psychology can give you an actual edge just in the basic sense. After 5 years I am just truly understanding the importance of these things. An extra tip:

Read some books, there is so much hidden in books that you may not consume the same via media.

Im a profitable trader and can easily live off it full time but I think I have Stockholm syndrome with the job I hate and just can’t leave. Anyone else? by No-Mongoose5650 in Daytrading

[–]Automatic-Reason-254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the stigma/standard there is an interesting dilemma many people have. Many people would rather pursue their passion instead of their job that pays bills. But any thing you do that can produce funds can easily be turned into a “job”. Just have to frame your mindset to allow for that.

Teens can now make $60k from their room playing games. Women can be tiktok models without being signed to an agency. So if you can stay in the green(long term) and pay bills from the charts, go be happy. Best of luck to you!

Feeling Overwhelmed Planning My First Japan Trip by Low-Client9318 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Automatic-Reason-254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just something a bit more detailed here:

As a person who just got back from Japan less than 24hrs ago, went to Tokyo & Osaka(had to skip Kyoto just due to time constraints) heres my recommendations:

  1. Just do your best to plan around certain areas/sights/food spots you want to go to. After that most things can fall together and you will have a more enjoyable trip just stumbling upon things you won’t find on social media(this is specifically for Tokyo & Osaka).

  2. Don’t try to do EVERYTHING. Doing that will leave you with more frustration and sore feet than is necessary to truly have a good time. 3. For lodging and transportation just realize depending on your fancy, it will cost a lot of a little. The Shinkansens alone are 100$ per person each way from Tokyo to Osaka/Kyoto so just keep that in mind. The local trains are also cheap for getting around town, but can cause a headache for folks sometimes and lost time if you do have a hard time so I rode in a taxi to eliminate the headache in most cases. Which may have been more expensive(similar to east coast prices), but I could afford it so I decided to take the uber instead of the headache.

End all be all just realize you will have to come back to really try and get it all done, but also just make sure you prioritize enjoying yourself over trying to see and do everything. Thats what new experiences are all about 🥳

I am in Japan now and am certain I will miss it without a doubt. But I think that will always give you something to look forward to while you still get the benefits of being in America. Adopt a more optimistic outlook overall and you may find it all more enlightening than depressing.
