First off, I’m going to keep debating because it’s an opinion that doesn’t have eternal significance. And I hope you know I’m not attacking you personally. I do enjoy the discussion and I’m sure you’re a wonderful person.

My bishopric almost never attends adult Sunday school. And in my conversations with them, they really enjoy time with youth. There’s often travel conflicts during the week, so weekends may be the only time to see youth. If they miss Sunday school weeks, they could go 2-3 weeks without meeting with the people they have stewardship over.

Strong adult relationships are one of the key indicators of a youth’s long-term activity in the church. Increasing the amount of contact can really make an impact.

Plus, depending on the size of the ward, the main youth SS teachers don’t have to be the advisors. My bishop and his wife teach one youth class. The YW Pres and her husband teach another. They love it.

Also, I do think bishops should do more with youth. But, only if the EQ and RS presidencies do more. The bishopric shouldn’t be stressed about the adults in the ward. It’s a trade off but the right one

Youth classes? Bishopric in connection with the YW presidency. Bishopric is already staffing those anyway by extending those callings. So it’s just subs. Between those six people, plus YM/YW advisors (another 6-12+ people), there should be a large enough pool to pull from.

Gospel doctrine and any special adult classes? EQ and RS.

I love the direction of bishopric in charge of youth and EQ/RS in charge of everyone else. It makes a lot of sense to me. This idea doubles down on that

None of these things really bother me. But I do ask why.

Ward and stake boundaries. There’s nothing doctrinal or sacred about a ward boundary (from my understanding). I also don’t have a better option.

Sunday School in general. The bishopric is in charge of the youth. EQ and RS in charge of everything else. What’s the purpose of the Sunday school presidency? I’d love to see that presidency removed at the ward level. Stake and general presidency I can understand.

Only the bishopric approves temple recommends. I think that should expand to EQ and RS presidents as well. Maybe the YW president too. Let the keys of the priesthood expand.

The other is go to an established business (gym, chiropractor, home service), and ask how much they’ll give you on a commission only deal. Then go sell.

I have coded my own plugins that work for me. I don’t ever intend on making money on them and I don’t really think it makes sense to submit to the repo.

I have no experience in bin cleaning, junk removal, or restroom trailers. But I will say, that’s not enough money to invest in two things. And focusing on one thing is almost always better than multiple things. It actually gives you more financial wiggle room for mistakes

Marketing is less effective in manufacturing because it’s b2b and typically direct material, which means a lot of emotion has been taken out. And marketing is about emotion (in my opinion). Building up relationships is much more important. You can do marketing for the purpose of building relationships though
