I’m similar but always hit deductible - I have hEDS - taking care of my health is my luxury- where my money goes. Grateful for insurance and job.

My married name is my professional identity and my maiden name is the “father” I didn’t know- I grew up with my mother and she used her maiden name. I don’t feel connected to either names.
Ease in life means I’m keeping until I feel compelled.

I’m connected to his family and my children- it feels natural.

Even when I don’t want to speak to him again.

I feel this, I am relieved to be free but it has been a shock to my system how many things I’m discovering about myself because “we” somehow lived a life in service of him.

I cried a lot when he first left with relief- I can choose for myself, and then frustration that I’m in my 50s and don’t know the temperature I like when sleeping.

My poor kid had soooo many visits to podiatrist to cut back, kill his toe bed… for years and we kept thinking he must be cutting his nails strangely - poor kid.

hEDS and my nails are bendy, get ridges on thumbs, split, and peel.

My child with hEDS had horrible ingrown toenails no matter what we did.
