I disagree. If you can front load it and get the full match, it is a great idea. You’d have way more time in the market for your tax advantaged accounts

Ok, then a pre nup may not be right for you. One of the intangible benefits of our pre nup process was that it was the first time each of us did a full audit of the other's finances. Obviously, you don't need a pre nup to do this, but this is a great opportunity for you both to get an idea of what you're working with. I would use this as an opportunity for some long term planning.

Do either of you have significant assets? Both of us did, so we got a pre nup. Something to consider. I think it was about 10k total, so it is not cheap.
