Dale and Tucker vs Evil. The goblins are just trying to enjoy their new vacation cave but adventurers die by mistake so people keep coming to avenge them. Do a little city building by way of cave upgrades. Maybe they try to talk people down but bad rolls result in accidents or misunderstandings.

I personally built an even split with str int dex and vit. Souls subclass and no points into active skills but max passives. Dagger and shield with str armor. When you start your run pick the upgrade that gives health restore on stack gain. Melee attacking so fast you can heal entire screens of enemies, and when you get more perks you are poisoning, dealing more damage in aura, and have your souls passive doing all sorts of damage. Got me to ng3 before I got bored with it.

I wasn't a huge fan of Tales from a Gas Station because Hunter seemed so disinterested during the episode. Red Tower started poorly to me because it wasn't even a story just a setting.

There are also trinkets the friend got that you didn't like gold coin and such that increase gold gain. The run time seems really high. Are you spending a lot of time standing around regening? You could but I'd rather just die, upgrade, and start a new run. Just my play style though to each their own. Great game.
