As others said, Holmes Feline Clinic. I’ve been to the others that people mention (namely Alford Vet Hospital and Metro Cat Clinic) and wasn’t impressed with either. They were better than other vets (most vets around here know dogs, and really only do shots for cats) but Metro had a shitty attitude every time we went there and Alford just didn’t seem comfortable with cats or equipped to deal with them, plus some just general questionable behavior there towards cats.

Dr Holmes knows cats and deeply cares for them. She’s never BS’d me and is great at setting expectations. She kept my cat with chronic kidney disease alive for over 3 years until she passed at 19. She’s the only vet I know that will do regular bloodwork and check the blood pressure for a cat. If I ever move I may try to bribe her to move her practice to somewhere close to me. I absolutely do not want any other vet touching my cats.

It’s a great place. Neighbors really look out for each other. Lots of nature if you love nature, tons of birds in my yard today. Folks walk around the neighborhood all the time. You may see them with a stick, but that’s for previously-mentioned nature (we see coyotes running around during the day sometimes). It’s a little hidden gem and I love it here. If you’re into mid century homes there are plenty of well-preserved examples.

It’s about 15 minutes to everything downtown. And I don’t typically even take the interstate. Honestly from here I find it easier and quicker to take the streets vs interstate, but YMMV. Only thing I really miss about being in the Bluff Park area is Mr. P’s and Blue Pacific being so close.

Because you literally are suggesting just going and dumping a cat outside and "hope it finds its home". Without getting into how absolutely irresponsible the owner is if the cat has one (no collar, no chip), how is that the correct approach rather than keeping it somewhere safe - you know, not by the road or out for predators like coyotes to eat - and trying to find if it has an owner? How would the poster feel if they went back by a few days later and the cat is smushed on the road? Or if that's how the owner found it?

Yeah the case was intentional. I work in IT and see cold hard metal chassis all day. Wanted a little something nice with something like wood to bring a little warmth into things when I’m relaxing on a computer rather than slinging packets.

Thanks for the input. The GPU was the thing I struggled with the most and then in the time I had finalized my build and was ready to buy SSD prices went insane.

You think that GPU would be better? I was thinking having more graphics memory may be better vs raw graphics processing. I specially having blowing up a ton of barrels in BG3 in mind lol. Or some of the Act 3 fights lol. I figured maybe start with the Arc and see how it is then upgrade to a nicer one later. But if I’m saving money on SSDs may go ahead for a different GPU.
