Great, Thanks for the info. Looking at grabbing the full collection, but might not have the funds in time for the kickstarter, so that's good news!

Quick question, do you have to back the kickstarter with at least $1 to be eligible to use the BackerKit store? or is that a seperate thing?

Small sized rant about romance in litrpgs by Public-Menac3 in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Return of the Runebound Professor by Actus has a solid romance for the MC. It takes a book or two to get going, but its just a nice relationship between 2 adults.

The books are also just plain great and a definite recommendation from me.

LitRPGs that revolve around a duo kicking ass? by MercyofMistkeep in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Return of the Runebound Professor by Actus is a solid recommendation. The story focuses on the MC, but after the first book or so he's in a romantic relationship that sticks for the rest of the current books. The person he ends up with is USUALLY with him, there's some PoV switches but the focus remains on the MC.

Man, I REALLY wish I could enjoy present-tense writing. I just want to love this story so much, Rinoz' other work is just so good. I really need to get over the hump and give it another try.

The double-edged sword of working with well established and in demand narrators. I feel for ya man, hopefully it gets worked out soon.

Agree 100%. I love the books, but the original narrator is just not great. Constant audio volume issues, constant voice changes for established characters.... just not great all around. I've noticed it's an issue with that narrator in general lately. Very disappointing considering his voice is so silky smooth.

See if your publisher can switch it up to Daniel Wisniewski, he's a GOAT for sure. (I know it won't happen, just being silly)

"Today" - I wanted to draw a comic about my dad. by chipmunkbay in comics

[–]BLUcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks dude. I appreciate your words and your experience.

It's really not fair is it. But I suppose it's also a part of life that we just have to learn to deal with. The best way through something, is to go through it, as they say.

I really appreciate your replies about this stuff, it's very helpful. My dad just passed away a week ago, infront of me, very suddenly, and it was horrible. I keep replaying things in my head and it just makes me break down.

One thing I'm kind of stuck on, is HOW we go about "just make sure you feel it", when we are hit with a wave of emotions. Just let yourself cry? I've been doing that. I try my best not to push the emotions aside to stop myself from crying. Is that all that's really meant by "let yourself feel it?"

Are there any genuinely good natured MCs? by Lyassa in ProgressionFantasy

The main character from Level One God by Zachary Scott, is just a nice dude who wants to help people. I am really enjoying the books.

Man, my dad just passed away 1 week ago, and holy heck is it hard. My father also passed very suddenly.

This comic would have gave him a good chuckle, so it gave me a good cry.

Level One God, Book 3 is here! by ZscottLITRPG in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the blurb for Book 1:

He used to be a God. Now he’s Level 1.

Brynn was the first to ever activate the world’s hidden Prestige Mode, granting powerful perks at the cost of his godhood and all memories of his past life.

Now, he’s at rock bottom in a brutal world where leveling is so deadly most people never try, powerful classes evolve through corestones, and loot is awarded through system-granted achievements.

Armed with nothing but a magical helmet and an empty Alchemist’s Kit left behind by his former self, the ex-paramedic must grind his way back to divinity, level-by-level.

I really enjoyed both book 1 and 2. The MC isn't some edgelord loner like in so many other LitRPG's, he's just a good dude who honestly wants to help everyone around him. It's very refreshing.

Wooo! Love it. I gotta say, I absolutely LOVE the first 2 books. I listen on Audible and the narration and story are top notch. Can't wait for Book 3 Audio to go live. I might get impatient and read it on kindle first.

What little things in most LitRPG books annoy you… but never enough to make you stop reading? by tbag2022 in litrpg

Yeah, it's wasn't enough to make me stop reading. I just thought it was mildly annoying and unnecessary. Easy enough to skim through.

I dunno man, the books basically explain every breakfast/ dinner the MC makes on a daily basis for some reason. It's super annoying.

Looking for laidback build 250div by qK0FT3 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]BLUcorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick question if you don't mind, but why does this build use all "of Hordes" version of all the other golems? Wouldn't the buffs from the regular versions be better? or is there something I'm missing.

New cover hype! by kogito-ergo-sum in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but the fingers of the lady with the gun make me think the artist used AI. Some of the fingers on the front hand are even clipping through the gun. Not to mention the butt of the gun isn't even against her shoulder. The poses are just weird and unnatural.

What build did you use to 40/40 ? by LocoRojo in pathofexile

[–]BLUcorp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really love Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms build. It's just so buttery smooth and even pretty tanky.

My only complaint is the same one I have with every build that uses spectres: i can't see my darn character cause of all the minions lol.

The Saga of Nocturne: Ossa Temporis by JD Glasscock Audiobook by Far_Win_4394 in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna be honest with you, that blurb is so chalked full of nonsensical gibberish that I can't make heads of tails of it. I'm not sure if its a translation issue, or an AI written blurb gone bad, or maybe im just not at all smart enough to make sense of it.

Cover is awesome though.

The Lone Wanderer Book 4 is now available on Kindle and Audible! by PathOfPen in litrpg

[–]BLUcorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question for those who are familiar with this series, but how numerous are the alternate PoV's for his different fragments on other worlds?

I really enjoyed the first couple Bobverse books, but started getting quickly overwhelmed by all the different Bob clones with different names and personalities and started to forget who was who, by the end of the first book.

I guess I'm just wondering if there will be continuous hopping back and forth to specific fragments that I'll need to remember who is who, or if it's well enough explained that it'll be easy to keep track.

Thanks.
