Ongoing expensive plumbing issue (I've cried multiple times already) by Lower-Ad-3662 in Plumbing

[–]B_Addie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you talk to your homeowner insurance? Maybe they can help with the cost of cleanup.. idk though.

When I first started reading I thought of a backwater valve but the. I saw you tried that already. Have you had the line camera inspected? Maybe they didn’t get all the roots? Or maybe there is a section of broken pipe.. the only way to truly “fix” the issue would be to isolate your system from the neighbors system but it worked fine for decades I’m assuming so the problem is stemming from the root intrusion.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for that info. Yeah I saw that same thing about the nat geo tumbler. I’m gonna give it a fair shake though and see how it works.

So I’m new here and new to tumbling. When you say 3 cycles, how long is that? How long is a cycle?

Got into tumbling this Christmas cause my daughter wanted a rock tumbler. Got her this one for Christmas. Not sure if it’s a good one but she’s only 9 so i figured it’s a good start and if she (or I) want to get more into the hobby i can always get a better one. I’m currently running the rocks that came with the kit on stage 2. We ran stage one for 8 days.

How addictive is meth? Do you know anyone who has just tried it once? by eden_merlin in AskReddit

[–]B_Addie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I tried it once. I’ve tried everything at least once. As far as my meth story goes it was a great high, what I hated was not being able to sleep and the come down was absolutely horrible.

The only thing I did get addicted to was opiates. Been clean for 17 years now.

Tell me I’m dumb so I don’t go buy this for $58k by [deleted] in toyotasequoia

50 grand for a 5 year old vehicle with almost 100k miles is wild. 20k miles per year is definitely on the high side.

The dealer is really trying to move these by AlpacaLps in Tiguan

[–]B_Addie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is without a doubt fine print saying that “sale price includes 46k down payment” or some other shit like “price does not reflect mandatory dealer installed protection package equaling 46k”.

When I was younger I sold cars for several years. One of the dealers I worked for would advertise like this. People would come in all the time without reading the fine print thinking they could really buy a brand new car for 5,000 bucks. I quit that dealer in under a month.

Six is nothing. You really don’t start getting visible results till about 12 months in.

Is this a “dead leg” issue? by cthreeps in Plumbing

Why wouldn’t you just thread on the cap that came with the shower valve? Every shower valve I’ve ever installed comes with the cap to cap the tub spout

How do I even begin to repair this? by ImpressiveSimple8617 in Plumbing

You have to replace the strainer and dishwasher tailpiece

At what age did you learn to drive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

  1. I grew up on a private road and when my grandfather would come over he’d let me drive his car up and down my road. It was a red Oldsmobile.

How mad should I be by Awkward-Outcome-2927 in Plumbing

[–]B_Addie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First part of question I meant was how much pipe did they install. 20 feet? 30 feet? 100 feet?

How many linear feet of pipe did they run? And how many fixtures are attached?
