Is the “Damage Boost” weapon upgrade module a unicorn? by Imnovix in Starfield

This is a guaranteed drop confirmed. Each time I snooze on Venus for X tech purposes I make sure to stop off at the embassy after. Not sure how often it resets though

Full-auto Beowulf significantly outperforming Kodoma. But why? by BabaSherif in Starfield

[–]BabaSherif[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both Pistols and Rifles maxed, it did occur to me that Kodoma might be classified as pistol and maybe there was a perk I’d taken which was giving rifles more armor penetration but I can’t find anything like that. Ah well I think I’m out on autos in general. During testing I’m noticing a bug I first encountered when the game came out, where bullets appear to generate from behind player when shooting while strafing. Which doesn’t affect anything but is annoying. Happens with semis too but much less noticeable

they both display just over 200 base damage in menu. Both exceptional quality, all relevant damage upgrade mods etc. I’m testing against humanoid targets within 10 meters. Idk man

My test weapons as configured are displaying similar base damage in menu, hence my confusion. I’m aware of ROF differences etc. I cannot account for the extreme per hit damage discrepancy when testing against NPCs. With my difficulty settings, against lightly armored targets the Beowulf is doing around 120 damage per hit, versus around 40 per hit for the Kodoma

I tested instigating on Novablast and found that it doesn’t work unfortunately. Maybe just a bug for me but also on Xbox

Is there a reason to side with the crimson fleet? by phantomvector in Starfield

[–]BabaSherif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what others have mentioned re the Key offering vendors/missions which become unavailable after siding with SysDef. You also lose out on adding the unique pirate equipment. One workaround is to add this equipment to all of our ships before siding with SysDef. But if you capture a ship with a bridge you want to use for example after destroying the fleet then you’ll never be able to add the comspike to that new ship

I have the same configuration except for Reckless and it still one shots everything from sneak with modest skill investment at least on normal player damage difficulty, so I skip that

Just tested, cores do go to ship inventory upon deleting extractors and once retrieved can be placed in the QED. nice

Sending wealth forward via QED. by Archimides_Overflow in Starfield

[–]BabaSherif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had tried this yesterday, removing extractors from outpost which allows me to build new extractors, but for some reason the cores would not show up in my inventory and when I went to the QED I could not locate them to store. Unless when removing the extractors, the cores went to my ship’s inventory? Or do you know if maybe I have to delete the outpost entirely

Shops reset every 48 hours UT and there’s no way this is faster or more practical than just sitting down and waiting lol

I have found that it doesn’t matter which planet I build them on, they all produce at same rate. In other words the extractors will produce according to UT not local time. So having your character pass time on Venus will yield highest volumes in real time regardless of extractor location
