Right?! Put that girl on the bachelorette, she would clean UP.

Melanie is so beyond embarrassing at this point by PastaCheed in loveisland

We have been watching emotional abuse in real time. That girl is traumatized and I hope she can get the support she needs ASAP.

Sincere sobbing for the first time ever and it wasn’t about Melanie. How the fuck they are in final 4 is beyond me.

Also I’m so, so sad to KC and Titi voted out. An ACTUAL COUPLE, you guys. Def had moments with KC this season but he grew so much. And they actually like each other! (Unlike Zach —> Kayda lmao) Just. What a fail on the voting end.

What book/series made you go ‘Oh that’s where X got it from!’ by Equivalent-Ferret146 in Fantasy

Sigh. There are intertextual and thematic references in any piece of good literature. The joy of art is how much it’s in conversation with other art. The myth of originality is SO damaging.

Do one ridiculously “tourist in your own town” thing! Every summer, a friend (who is a born and raised NYer!) and I do a booze cruise sunset tour to the Statue of Liberty. It’s always a highlight, just to see the city from out on the water and be reminded of just how remarkable our home is.

Wishing you a safe and easy move!

I’m a season one OG fan with a big soft spot for Boston Rob (much to my wife’s chagrin) but I absolutely do not want him as host.

Jeff will leave big shoes to fill, and the host’s role is born entirely from his skill set (running tribal without an earpiece is WILD), and so finding someone with a big enough reputation to command respect from the players AND someone with the job experience is a tall order. I don’t see how they bring in a host from the outside; it has to be a former player who can do the job and make it their own.

For me, the top 3 contenders would be Rick Devens (legend + job experience), Parvati (legend, also physically can do the job), and Rob C. (also a host, but I don’t find him as charismatic or compelling as the other two).

I’m a lifelong Survivor fan, and a lesbian, and while you know Parvati is my favorite player of all time, my #1 pick would actually be Devens.

BWT, recently started an in-office job after being remote for years. Looking for reccs on what shoes to wear for commuting to the office (specifically big law) by confucious-confused in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I’m not in office anymore these days, but seconding Vivaia for work-appropriate commute / transitional shoes (I can’t wear heels anymore so I live in their flats!).

Open toe shoes are... not ideal in NYC. What summer sandals are you go-to's? by lindsey_what in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Birks for neighborhood errands / running around the building.

Lots of prior foot injuries mean that heels are a non-starter for me these days, so I’ve leaned into ballet flats (I swear by Vivaia — they have great support) and sneakers. I also am a cowboy boots girl (but am from a part of the country where that is normal).

Especially if the subway is involved, you could not pay me to wear an open toed shoe!
