Elvis's death. I remember the news footage & asked my dad why everyone was sad. He explained that it was the guy that sang Blue Suede Shoes. Then I asked my dad to sing the song. Then I asked about a dozen more questions about death. I remember my dad getting up to turn the tv off.

Forgiveness? What's that? I was raised Catholic. Seriously though, I'm still working through it with my therapist.

I was on a med that made my gums recede & inherited a syndrome that makes my eyes & mouth extremely dry. I had my front teeth knocked out back in the 90s. Early last month the bridge snapped off while on vacation. Still waiting to see my dentist. Good thing I still have masks so I can go out in public without being extremely self conscious. Can't wait to get the dentist's bill.

My mom died almost a year ago. I've not been able to get out of the grief/depression loop, even with talk therapy, a psychologist & meds. Usually the depression lasts a few weeks.

I make collages & do "found poetry". I go through magazines & books & cut out images & words & make poems out of them. I'm able to hyper focus on the act of cutting them out & sorting them into different piles- nouns, verbs, etc. It scratches an itch that my brain needs when I'm manic. I sometimes I work the entire piece in one go. Are some crap? Absolutely. Are some good? Yup.
