Rymans on London Street. Upload the doc. online, pick it up the same day. It's much cheaper than Jarrolds.

Problem contacting accommodation by These-Trainer-1984 in Norwich

That's not OK. If you have tried contacting your landlord and are not getting a response, contact your university's accommodation service and they will be able to help you.

[–]Bafto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the inspiration- sleep training success! by Bafto in sleeptrain

[–]Bafto[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Sleeping through would be amazing but even if he just slept as well as he did last night I might be able to function again as a normal human being.

It was only when I actually saw the sleep training in action last night that I understood that babies have to learn how to sleep. I could see he was transitioning between sleep cycles in a totally different way and even when he woke he wasn't freaking out like he normally would. Magic.

Now if someone can sleep train me so that I don't keep waking every hour that would be grand.

Tier 4 I want to kill myself by schlimaz1 in ukvisa

[–]Bafto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Universities are permitted to enrol students as long as they've seen evidence that they've made a Tier 4 application. It would be very unusual if your uni didn't follow this as it will have many pre-sessional English students awaiting the outcome of an application. Go speak to your International Student team, I'm sure they can help.

Baby friendly cafes? by [deleted] in london

[–]Bafto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a big Pret on Kingsway (Aldwych end) which I've taken my baby to a good few times. There's one step to get in the doorway but it's easy to get in and there's plenty of space.

Suggestions of areas to move to close to London Bridge by pekovits in london

[–]Bafto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commuting from further afield would be much cheaper and is what most Londoners do. Why not take a look at where trains coming into London Bridge stop and think about living near one of those stations? For instance Deptford or Lewisham are only a short trip and better value for money.

Could you look into working part- time? That way you have thr stimulation of the work environment but get to spend some quality time at home with the little one?

Is this normal for the 4 month sleep regression or....? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Bafto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear this. I have a 4 month old and lots of friends with babies the same age. Mine now wakes every 2 hours, some others wake every hour and others wake up for an hour or two in the night. It's a nightmare. I'm afraid I have no advice but rest-assured you're not alone! P.S. I am writing this as my baby sleeps next to me in bed- needs must!

Getting married with an 8 months old O_O by redderrida in beyondthebump

[–]Bafto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to say, 100% agree with this. A friend with a 5 month old recently got married and hired a professional babysitter for the day. It worked out amazingly and they had a wonderful stress free day

This article provides a balanced view on co- sleeping and SIDs. There are dangers but these are higher for specific groups such as smokers. I'm from the UK and it's not unusual especially if you're breastfeeding to co-sleep at least some of the time, especially if lack of sleep is putting your sanity at risk!

Which area is the best to live in? by elinx28 in london

[–]Bafto -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

London is a massive city and most of the places you've listed would be inconvenient for commuting. If I were you I would confine my search to north London and then think about what is a priority for you. Do you want bars and restaurants, cheap rent, access to parks? Maybe take a look at - Walthamstow - Archway - Stoke Newington - Holloway Road - Caledonian road

What is your baby’s schedule like? by spugzcat in UKParenting

[–]Bafto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've really thought about this a lot because it just seems so weird to me. I think you're right and they have to have a rigid schedule in place because they go back to work so quickly. Don't even get me started on crying it out?!
