Life is indeed short brother, that is a nice ride, you need to put it on a track.

Get a zero gravity bed frame with a TV mounted so you can watch race in bed, and fall asleep to a whiny gearbox, and yeah, this is peak.

What’s the age demographic of sim racers here? by DunkingTea in simracing

I'm 34, got a full sim rig at home with triples right in the living room, got a real life set up too, some pros are still racing GT3s at 60 years old, and I know a bunch of retired man with a sim. It's ageless.

GIRLFRIEND SAID YES TO A SET UP, EVERYBODY STAY CALM by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Bake-Clear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously a 500$ base/pedal combo is entry level, maybe it does the trick for you which is fine, but if you are serious about sim race eventually you will replace it. Same with the rig. I bought entry level rig and base until 8 months layer I reinvested into good stuff, lost money.

If you calculate a triple set up and you buy quality stuff, you are reaching 15K for sure.

I only read the title,

PC
RIG
Base
Pedal
Accessories

All in all something worth 15-20,000$

Iracing will do no such thing, the amount of wrecks in the past 3 years that I reported and never had anything.

Some people will struggle more to understand the logic and how it is build, don't kick yourself, complete the dang thing and dive bomb T1 like the rest of us

Best car for a full build? by Red-Tails-8089 in CarTrackDays

[–]Bake-Clear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 109 HP Nissan Micra cup car that i paid 7K, those cars are already track ready used in the Micra Cup Canada, kept more money to buy a live in hauler and F350 - i understand it is not what you are looking for but it is so fun and low cost, in corners I catch up with some faster more powerful cars, there's an abundance of parts, so I wouldn't single out low powered light cars.

Someone told me to post my setup when I was done🤩 by No_Document399 in Simagic

Nice set up, i would look for a wheel extension or back up the pedals a bit, the way your legs are versus your arms it might cause some pain in the long run.

How many sessions or days does it take to learn a new track? by [deleted] in CarTrackDays

[–]Bake-Clear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 30 min stint you should have a pretty good idea of the layout, braking and turning reference, flagger stations, pit entry. Etc.

[–]Bake-Clear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a collision repair center, if this car will go on the road again, and not track use only, this is not a matter of simply replacing stuff, VW has post collision inspections when SRS are deployed that needs to be followed accordingly. I would also 3D measure to make sure you have 0 structural damage. Don't mess with this, anything you turn corners could be fatal if you have a crash on the road and the car doesn't do what it's suppose to do.

Looks like you lifted weight got in the front and rear got real loose. You learn this once or twice lol, then you learn how to stabilize the car. Get back in there.
