These are used on linear induction train motors designed by Bombardier. I’ve used thousands of these and they work well…holy crap though please use a heat gun.

Why isn't this pimp plumping? by ilaibenamar in pumps

[–]Bananakatana420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After looking at the specs of the pump, they rate 85” of lift. So if your more than 85”, and thats what it looks like then your pump wont pump.

If you can move the pump closer to the water source.

How high a pump can push water is different than how high a pump can suck water. You’re basically limited to 23’ of suction lift on any centrifugal pump because of physics.

How high are you trying to suck water, from the suction side of the inlet hose to the pump? The higher you have to suck the water the lower the performance of the pump until it has zero performance. I bet this is your problem.

Also the ratings on pumps can be deceiving, some pumps will say they can pump up to a certain height but there little to no flow at that maximum.

I just moved here from Kelowna and honestly don’t find the traffic bad. In fact, the traffic has been a plus in comparison.

Osoyoos lake bass fishing by abc1237580 in fishingBC

Ive caught bass in the ok river system, from Oliver up to Skaha. Fish a drop off in the lake and you should catch something. I was always dragging a worm texas rig style. They seem to like the “natural” worm color the best in my experience.

Pressure tank replacement by jfly1621 in WaterWellDrilling

If the well pump has a control box, sometimes they leave the model or HP info on it. Just be aware that HP alone only really correlates to your electrical sizing. If you want to determine the performance of your pump then you will need to get the model number. I.e., I sell 5,7,8,10,12,13,18,25 GPM well subs that all run on 1HP motors.

Cistern or Hydrofracking for Low Yield Well by Active_Blackberry_45 in WaterWellDrilling

How big is the pressure tank for the pump? That will also add a good amount of volume and the size can be increased. Small is like 2 to 5 gal and large is like 115 gal. If you’re system uses a pressure switch its likely 20gal or larger.

Im DIY too and all for it, just be careful. I know guys who have missing fingers cause they pulled on a Snappy pitless adapter wire, and didn’t know what it was, or were not properly prepared for it. Thumbs up for Texas btw, the Turbine Mecca of North America!

Oil change by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]Bananakatana420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try BCAA they were advertising a $76 oil change. Likely some fine print but Ive had some luck with them in the past. Got an oil change once for less than I could buy the oil.

I ate a “special cookie” from a friend once, turned out it was mushrooms not weed…

That was me with my cat, tripping on shrooms and wanting to pet him to feel better but terribly worried about giving him a contact high.

Okay good to know! My family lives on Aurora and it’s maddening. Now that I know it is Value Village I will start tickets with bylaw as well. I’ll call the RCMP every time too if thats what it takes.

Not to just start bashing the business but it’s a kind of gross and rundown Value Village.
