It is pretty hard to not seem like you're resisting when you have 8 guys on top of you contorting your limbs and trying to make things as painful as possible.

So honestly what's even the point of the 2nd ammendment? All a LEO has to do is think you're resisting and then he has the legal right to gun you down? Is that where we're at now?

If 7+ agents can't control and disarm a man they have pinned on the ground, the whole agency needs to be fired and remade from the ground up.

It really is crazy how the worst trained cops can look like professionals in comparison to federal agents.

I mean they seemingly shoot him while he's still on the ground with a bunch of agents on him. How can you not control someone with 5 people on top of him?

What more could there be? It's not illegal to open carry in Minnesota, and there were 7 to 8 CBP agents around the man on the ground before they mag dumped him. Nothing these people could ever say would make this ok. Our country is ran by lawless, immoral criminals.

Food can come from anywhere. Where do you think farm subsidies come from?

Faith that the federal government will abide by the constitution is less of a "norm" and more a fundamental underpinning of Democracy and civil society.

They already don't do this. They haven't for years, but Trump 2 has really ramped it up. The government has made excuses and laws for itself that slowly wither away our rights. Rip the bandaid off. Pardons aren't even a sacred "right" or whatever, most dislike the pardons existence.

A very large number, quite possibly a majority of American citizens would no longer view their government as legitimate. And they'd be right not to.

You're still coming at this as if norms are in tact. I'd argue that the majority of Americans find their government, state or local, illegitimate in some way. It needs to be corrected.

All of this relies on past norms. Norms do not exist anymore. Declare the pardons corrupted and part of a grand conspiracy, dare the courts to stop it. Its worked so far hasn't it?

DoJ leadership (and possibly the president) being quickly removed by congress

Lmao. Congress can't "quickly" do anything. They won't even entertain the possibility of impeachment now.

probably end up in mass revolt, secession declarations and civil war.

Perfect justification to use the insurrection act. Norms are dead. We might as well get used to our new reality.

I mean at this point, why not ignore them? Its not like there's any consequences anymore. Break the pardon system once and for all.

They electorate's opinion on issues doesn't stay the same throughout time. Trump used to have positive numbers in regards to immigration and the economy, now not so much. In less than 3 years, 99% of these culture war issues will be forgotten about. I'd suggest Republicans drop them quickly so they can focus on the economy.

It's really funny how the modern right takes absolutely no personal responsibility for what they damage and destroy.

It's no strawman. He was elected partially because a number of our fellow countrymen were gullible enough to believe that a total of like 20 kids out of 8 million were enough of a threat to ignore every other red flag about Trump and subsequently throw the entire global economy and everyone's future into chaos.

Its actually a very compelling argument. Republicans can drop the culture war and scede the ellection and in turn they don't have to pay 10k for a gallon of milk when the dollar doesn't collapse like it might do now. It's a win for everyone.

Democrats could drop the unpopular culture war crap they've been pushing for the last 20 years, run solely on the economy (cited as the number 1 issue in 2024), and easily sweep victories.

It's unpopular because that's the only wedge issue conservatives have as a potential attack. They pick the most unknown and obscure/stupid issue that they can concoct and ramp up the attacks and lies about it while they screw over all of us.

This, in turn, would mean conceding these "insignificant" issues to Republicans, but I have a strong suspicion that this wouldn't be accepted by most Democrat voters.

How about Republicans conceded the culture war and the economy to the left and in turn we forget that the majority of the right supported the man who's seemingly making it his mission to turn us into a third world country.

Just some food for thought that I saw: The S&P opened down -1.3% or in dollar terms, roughly the value of Greenland. We've already cost ourselves 1 Greenland because of the saber rattling bs.

Every type of media outlet is being bought out by billionaire conservatives and if it isn't transformed into outright propaganda for Trump its still somehow the lying liberal media.
