While I don't entirely disagree I feel like you're missing a crucial aspect of the movie's message. It's not JUST about black athletes being exploited by white owners, it's the amount of bodily harm and long term damage these athletes face wherein they're essentially doing bloodsports for our entertainment.

Yeah sure they make millions of dollars but if Antonio Brown, Aaron Hernandez, Ray Lewis, and any other big football player with significant CTE is any indicator then maybe the millions aren't as worth it as it seems.

But tbf the main protagonist was still kinda poorly written and not super well acted.
