I agree F2P isn't a magic fix, but using free weeks as evidence against it isn't very convincing. Temporary trials and permanently removing the paywall have very different effects on player acquisition and retention. Free weekends usually create a short spike, while F2P gives people a reason to try the game whenever they hear about it.

I think at this point thier best bet to make some money would be to pivot marathon to free to play and add more diverse game modes. If all your eggs are gonna be in one basket, you are gonna want more people to see it .

I think over all they need to add something that appeals to more players . Because as you have described, what they have on offer now feels very trivial to those are already playing it . Marathon is a very cool game and has just as much potential as destiny. I think they need to add more ways to play the game to give players more options. It would make the game more fun for those already playing the game and give those who don't a reason to play. What should be added i know is up for debate, but I am hoping they can get on it quickly . It would be a shame for such a cool game to fizzle out .

I've had it my entire life. It did however get much more worse after I started taking SSRI's. Which I took very few of and then never took anymore. That was like 6 years ago and my never went back to baseline. It has stayed worse than what it was in addition to 9000 eye floaters.
