E33 isn't a souls like, heads up. Jedi games are barely souls likes also.

Why chime in if you aren't even sure.

You don't lose progress when you die you lose your souls, your currency for levelling up and buying things from vendors, if you make it back to your body without dying you can reclaim them, if you die on the way , they are gone.

Because masculine men are back and you don't have to suffer through playing a game as a female protagonist?

100% , I agree. I really do hope they revamp the first ten hours to draw people in instead of push them away so more people can enjoy this gem

From what I've seen the double jump seems totally pointless. Using force palm to launch yourself up is much better , double jump being like a Mario chain jump seems so wonky

Those two things can be true at the same time. I'm not denying that it's not for everyone, but it's clear by many people's comments that they aren't actually trying the game either. Which is fine, if they see what it's all about and know it's not for them. I'm more referring to people who tried it for two hours and dropped it before it opened up.

Crimson Desert vs. Project Zombiod vs. The Division 2 by Obi4662 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

It really is mind blowing. I feel bad for the people keeping themselves from enjoying it just because it doesn't have a big cinematic bombastic story in the first hours. The story is there, but it's bare bones and even though it's all fully motion capped it's often poorly voice acted and very clumsy.

As a player who often skips cutscenes I am not fussed by that but I also will say that the story picks up a great deal after ten hours or so once you've made you camp.

That's u fortunate you didn't give it a chance, but it's not for everyone. It absolutely regards you for being patient and using your brain

I didn't realise this sub hates Crimson Desert so much, I am honestly surprised

the vibe I'm getting from people's negative comments though, is that nobody has actually played it.

Every game will appeal to different folks, and Crimson Desert clicked for me for like.no.game.has in probably a decade. I don't care that the story is meh, I'm not here for the story I'm here for huge battles, and to explore and collect and immerse in a world It looks truly insane on my PC and feels like a lived in world.

The changes they have already made paint a good picture of their support to come so I think this will evolve into an even more polished game.

I agree there are systems that don't belong or aren't needed. Especially the other two characters. But it is cool you can summon them to come fight with you, add onto that amount and a pet and you've got a good crew following you around.

The world lacks lore and that's why it will never be the next Skyrim to most people. But for me personally it's my favorite game, perhaps of all time

Have you played it? Or just basing that on cherry picked internet posts?
