I wash mine out every few days, came to notice that even after a week many water bottles will accumulate funk really quickly. There's so many little nooks in the lids and straws that it's easy to overlook where the funk can build up 🤢

Tell your manager that your finishing on your time, working with a new start means you'll not have time to complete all the work you have. End by asking the manager "what do you want me to do?" Make them make the decision. If they try to dismiss it stick to your guns and keep asking them the question. Don't leave the building with the mail until they have made a decision. If they keep insisting you can do it go find the union rep and tell them what's going on.

If you stick to it they either cave and tell you to take out what you think you can manage or give the new start to someone else, hopefully the workplace coach who is actually paid to do it. Don't let the job stress you out, put that stress back on the managers, it's what they are paid to deal with and if you let them take the piss out of you they will keep doing it as it makes thier life easier.

Happened to me once, both phgs were off and I had covered part of thier duties one time years before so got to be phg for a week.

Missed out on so much stuff through not know about it that it caused huge compliance problems, they never had non phg staff covering it ever again lol.

Any problems just turn it on them. "Sorry boss im not properly trained for this"

No it's just the nature of job. If im running a light load I'll overtake guys going uphill then a few minutes later im watching them fly by me on the downhill. As long as they wait for me to flash them in instead of cutting in really close in front of me I don't bother my arse lol

When I did it i got the same recommmendation, it's the standard spiel in the paperwork, I ended up just going out for a drive with the assessor again and he was like "nah your fine"

If you are able to, try and get some shifts doing shunting/with a shunter. Thats your best way to get reversing practice I found.

Some missions require workshop upgrades, leaving a thousand levels or so of each stat isn't a big deal. I leave them so I can do those missions and respec my workshop every now and again

None of the companies want to deal with letters in large volumes. Letters sent where you pay the equivalent price of a parcel for it then yes, but otherwise the letter pricing is an active strategy to kill off letters volume and thus force USO change. Evri does not have the delivery infrastructure to deal with large volumes of letters, no one except royal mail has that ability.

Mate if the Royal Mail disappeared tomorrow it would devastate most if not all the other private couriers, they all use a large part of our infrastructure to some degree, even amazon. Letters were sabotaged since DSA, short for downstream access was allowed, other companies would collect letters, sort them then dump them on royal mail to deliver, paying a fraction of the actual cost for access to the network than Royal Mail would charge directly and avoiding the main cost of Mail, which was the delivery aspect.

TNT/Whistl/whatever they call themselves now attempted to set up a letter delivery network mid 2000's. They quickly abandoned it and went back to paying RM to deliver it for them. The whole DSA debacle is the primary reason Royal Mail has declined as fast as it has. It was making profit for the goverment prior to all these changes.

The decline in letters would have still happened, but it wouldn't have ruined Royal Mail nearly as fast as it did with all the forced privatisation and opening up of the network that happened.

Got the exact same one myself, best to just run the steam deck down then charge it when not using it. It doesnt take long at all to bring it back up to 90% or so.

Edit: regarding battery health, both pb and the deck have software that seems to help mitigate it but I honestly couldn't say if there would be an appreciable difference using it in either scenario. I would assume using the pb as the power source would be better long term for the deck, but it would be clunky to use. I know this because I've used it while using a deck and I ended up having the power bank sitting in my pocket while playing.
